I am really upset with where they took Lois' character. Its so wrong for her to be with her boss!!! What a terrible role model for young women! I can't believe what al/miles are doing with some of these characters and that DC is allowing them to disgrace them so thoroughly!

Well...you know...there's always the chance Grant will convert right? :\
So how did this kiss come about though?
Were they just like talking and the sexual tension became to much and KABOOM! Or what?

Haha...as soon as I heard she said "there's a sexual attraction between us.." something like that, I felt like whoa mannn, she's getting abit too flirty here lol. Yeah, Al/Miles ruin her character for sure.

Maybe they'll put a "see what happens when you date your boss" in the show later. But yeah, I don't think that Lois would have ever done something like that, but she is young here.

We still don't know the reason behind Lois's actions.
If Grant really is working for Lex then maybe this is simply Lois's way of finding out what she can and getting closer to him. By leading Grant on.

Yes, it very well could be that she's a step ahead of Lex, and this is her way of extracting more information or at least trying to.
I don't agree with it, but whatever it is Chlarkers and Chloisers will be all over it so get ready for some Lois bashing.

Excellent of you to make the obvious and correct opinion regarding lois' actions with her boss. No, I do not think lois is 'playing' her boss, she has never been shown to be that kind of shrewd character, that quality belongs to Lana. In this case, it appears sadly to be one more mark against Smallville's version of a Lois Lane.

I know!
Sexual attraction is like an unspoken agreement. You don't tell someone that there is sexual attraction between the two of you -- its usually told to you by someone ouside the attraction itself.
The fact that Chloe hasn't picked up on this so called 'attraction' says a lot, too.
Lois is playing him.

Lois Lane's editor was Perry White, NOT Richard White. Richard was the Editor of the International Department if I remember correctly not her boss...
Also Lois Lane was already at the top of her field BEFORE she dated Ricard...
Funny the Globe was associated with not only Grant in this scene, but Lois's Hotdog

Lois is always a disappointment..no wonder she is hardly seen so much ...I don't hate her ..i just don't gave a hoot about her..ALthough, i know that she is the one Clark ends up with..I don't think that AL Gough cares to have Clark end up with her..he is too busy screwing us with the Clana **** fest..I can see where he would have Clark with Chloe..no ...that wouldn't be a bad idea..Hear that Mr Gough..finally something you would have gotten right..
i know she isn't Lois..but i sure wish she was..one of the only characters that makes it fun to watch this show...And make every fustrating moment tolerable.
The Lois and Grant angle needs to go..i feel like she is trying a little too hard..i like her abit more in season 5...

I think it's wrong because it puts Lois in a bad light. It implies she only got the job because the boss had the hots for her.
It would have been better if they just left it as the boss hiring Lois because he saw something in her reporting not in her pants.
The storyline is not needed. It adds nothing to the flow of Smallville and it was just added because the writers introduced Lois in a sloppy way and they need something for her to do.

I like Lois, she's had 2 relatonships with men, and almost slept with one, but it didn't happen that way. Now she's about to have another short lived relationship.
I thought she looked professional, and I love watching her become a reporter. I just wish Clark would start hanging out with her, I'm not sure why that hasn't started yet. They said it would in the season spoilers.

I've seen this plot device used on characters all the time. They're portrayed in a bad light for a while only for it to be revealed that their intentions were always honourable from the beginning.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not buying into any of what I saw in Wrath. I'm not gonna jump to conclusions after watching one episode.
Thing about this show, there's always a reason behind a character's actions.
This season isn't even half way through yet.

The only thing I am disappointed about is that precious Erica time was wasted for this episode. She barely showed up in this episode.
She only has 12 episodes right?
I liked most of her scenes. I, of course, cannot wait for Grant to be exposed for the fraud he is. I wonder was he hired by Lex for the soul purpose of stopping Hurricane Lois.
The sense I got was that this was foreshadowing of Lois's future relationship with Clark Kent at the DP. Just like the GA was foreshadowing of her future relationship with Superman.
She even makes a comment like, "Office romances aren't a good idea...."
All in all, though, it wasn't too bad. It was kind of flirty and interesting. A much more fun relationship than the Clana-drama unfolding on the other side of town.

Everyone needs to calm down and just wait till the story plays out. We all know it will be over very soon (he only has about three appearances left), and that if nothing else, Lois will learn from her mistake. This could be Lois playing Grant to find out how he is involved in Lex's schemes. Whatever happens, it will only make her stronger. I know it's like chewing glass to see her making out with the boss but Grant will be ripped off and thrown in the garbage like a nasty band-aid before you can blink.;)
If Lois finds out Grant is on Lex's team then she'll be the one to rip into his butt. It'll make the agony we're having to go through now, well worth it if we get see her tear him a new one.:D

They probably had another scene or two of her interacting with Clark but, like many scenes, they were cut when the episode was edited together, for more plot-centric scenes.

I couldn't agree more. I really dislike the way they're dealing with such an iconic character on this show. If they can't give her a proper storyline, I don't see the point in Clark and Lois meeting before their time.

It is pretty obvious that Grant doesn't have the cajones to give the green-light to an investigation on the Luthors. We could tell that he's on Lex's payroll and let's hope Lois does too.
Lois is the type to pursue a story to the end. She's on track to her iconic self but she needs to step it up a bit and cut back on just being eye-candy.

If Lois is coming onto Grant because she got the sense in the elevator that he is up to no good and is working for Lex then I would be very proud of her. If she uses him to get a story it would show she is becoming the ace reporter she is suppose to be. But if she is just going after another pretty face then I will be disappointed, there are some in other threads who insist she is a hoe because she has dated 3 guys on this show. i dont think she is a hoe but i do think if she is seriously interested in Grant she is immature, flighty, and shallow. How long ago was it that her and Oliver broke up?

My first impression was to feel sorry for Lois, both in being as stupid to play around with her boss (whom I haven't trusted since day one, and now seems likely he is working for Lex in some capacity), then to think that a guy she does open up to only hurts her (like so many others?), but the idea that she is actually playing Grant to gain his confidence and get the real dirt on the truth is intriguing, that's more of how I see the real world Lois Lane rather than the SV creation we've come to see thus far. As Lana has changed, perhaps so is Lois. Heck, dey've all changed :)

Re-watch the episode. Lois is up to something especially in the elevator scene with Grant. You can see her expression change when Grant plead with her to not go after the Luthors.
So now Grant will be a pawn in her plan to take down Luthorcorp. She's going to use him. That's her only interest in Grant at this point.

Hey, with all this carrying on about Lois dating her boss. Didn't Lois Lane in LnC do the same thing? I remember her confessing the same to Clark Kent in the pilot of that show. And if I recall correctly, she was young.

Of course we also have the classic "I know what you're up to...." from Lois to Grant, and Grant gives a "....you do???" as if she really does know the underside of his intentions. Dang, she should have seen his reaction and been more than a little suspicious at that. It's still interesting to think that maybe she did, and she's playing him for the fool he really is.
