I could not find other thread about Bob's character/power, so I figured I'll start one!

its funny, everytime my wife sees Stephen Tobolowsky on screen, she calls him (Ned Ryerson from Groundhog Day :rotfl: )

Heroes Wiki says that Bob has Alchemy as a power, does that mean he is the one altering the virus with his power and he is the cause of the "future plague"?

Do you think he can modify the molecular structure of any basic elements?

Yea, I think he can basically change basic elements from one element to another. He could have just as easily have turned that spoon into copper, silver or aluminum during his demonstration to Mohinder.

I don't think his alchemy power extends to altering viruses though. While it's certainly possible, biology seems to be a bit complex for his power. I think the worst he'd be able to do was create unstable or radioactive elements such as uranium.

I don't know much about alchemy though... Is it limited to any substance, or just metal? Would he have been able to change the spoon if it was plastic for example?

Bob may be more powerful then we give him credit for.
If he can change objects into metal or other minerals then he could for example.
Turn a wall into air or sand etc.
Turn anyone he touches into gold or other mineral or metal.
If he could turn someone into metal, could he turn them back?

rocana I think you got it right.
I don't think he can turn anything into anything.
If he can do more then gold, I would think he would be limited to Stuff that occurs in nature.
