Kensei & Claire

I am under the impression that Kensei and Claire have different abilities. Kensei has the power of immortality and Claire has the power of spontaneous regeneration.

As a result of his immortality, Kensei can regenerate. Also, I don't believe that Claire can live forever.

Am I wrong about this? Any ideas?

Sounds pretty good to me. Diffrent abilities just some similarites in the regeneration dept.

It's hard to say. Bob seemed to think that Claire's regeneration ability could stop the virus somehow. Could they use Adam's abilities to stop the virus also? Or are they totally different things?

I think Claire just has the ability to heal but Kensei is just plain immortal. Slow aging and healing.

It is hard to say, both have "died" and came back unscathed.
Claire had her neck broken, bones crushed, even autopsied, and everything grew back together.
With the toe snipping, it proved even her bones and toenails regenerate, so that would mean even if she had the worse form of cancer, new cells would regenerate as the cancer killed them.
As long as it isn't brain cancer I guess.

I think Kensei/Adam has the same ability as Claire, regeneration. Regeneration likely would allow a person to stay young forever.

With regen, Claire should never wrinkle, get old or die "due to natural causes". Claire is also virtually immortal. As long as you don't blow her up into little bits or be-head her or damage/destroy her brain...heh

I think both Kensei & Claire have similar abilities.But,Kensei's powers seem stronger and better because of the age difference...He's like about 400 years old and Claire is only 17.I think with time,Claire will devellope the same powers.She will immortal as long Sylar doesn't steal her brain and that applies to Kensei also.

^ So why do you think this regeneration power stops with the brain? Claire cut off a toe and it grew back. All her flesh got burned off and it grew back - I would assume the same would go for any brain cutting outing. I guess the real question is - is there one place in the body that it is the source of the power, that if it were damaged the power would go away - and so, is that place the brain? hum...

Since Sylar goes for the brain to get his powers, and since Claire didn't regenerate while the twig/stump was in her brain, I figure that is the point where the powers generate from.

Oh, and peter's bout with the glass shard.

Yes, they've pretty much made it clear that powers originate or have their bases in the brain, specifically in the region near the back of the head apparently. If the important area is damaged to a point or destroyed, I doubt regen would happen for either Claire or Adam.

I'm pretty sure Clair and Kensei have the same ability, if we use Wolverine for example..he was alot older than he looked. Due to his regeneration ability.

I would like to beleive Claire would live forever (Mmmm)
as these heroes powers seem to grow with use, and age. (Look at Hiro, Peter and Matt).

But Kensei/Adam is gonna be more like Apocalypse. Herald of a New Dawn/Age/Era. I'm just thinking that when he regenerated, did he go back and kill Hiro's girl?

It is not yet known how Adam survived the gunpowder plot.
And why he has chosen to live for so long. (Revenge is a good enough reason for me).

So I'm thinking he got these people together in the attempt to find the one that would help him to destroy the world that Hiro loves / remake the world in his image (survival of the fittest).

First Peter (blowing up NY, known/orchestrated by the company) and now the virus killing the world, but starting in NY (Bob has a big part to do with that I think).
