Jor El told Clark to get the crystal!
A few episodes back, in a brief scene at the fortress Jor El warned Clark about Kara, told him not to trust her, and to get the crystal. Right? No one seems to remember that. I'm going to go back through recorded episodes and find that. lol

We've been speculating about that on the other crystal thread. Maybe Lionel got it for him.

Yes when and why? Was it because of Jor-Els' warning? And why would he reveal it to Lana? That whole ending scene made no sense; it was off and weird. If that was really Clark he's a bigger moron than I thought. He is obviously suspicious of Lana so why not rrust Chloe with it instead? Plus if this is the reason for the power transfer to Lana, that is dull as dust. It would be much more hilarious for Chloe to have his abilities that the xenophobic and underhanded Lana. Now that would be fun. Lana is just going to be boring.

So did Martian Manhunter.
I certainly have no problems understanding why Clark isn't sure who, and what, to believe. And considering what he just found out about they crystal, I can't take issue at the fact that he wants to keep it close, and out of the hands of anyone else.

Why shouldn't Clark trust Lana with the crystal? Lana was the one who informed Clark that she saw Kara in the Luthor mansion. She maybe hiding things from Clark, but she hasn't done anything so far that intentionally hurt Clark.
Clark is in love with Lana, not Chloe. He wants to make up for all the times he's lied to her. You just have to face that now that Lana knows Clark's secret, Clark will go to her first before Chloe.

Maybe Jor-El didn't know that Kara was being manipulated by her father. That her memories were being erased when she found Zor-El out. Jor-El knew how close Kara was to her father, he must have assumed that she would end up just like him. Not always the case though!

He shouldn't have told anyone about it. He should have either revealed it to the viewers (like Lana did with the stone she stole from Jason) or shown it to MM, who seems to be on his side.

The only human he should trust with the crystal is Martha because she is and will always be on Clark's side. But I don't even think it's necessary to tell her. Why get a human involved when it is his business (and Kara's though he doesn't trust her) and not the business of any human.

So Jor-el would have an idea that Zor-el might have placed Lara's DNA in the crystal. Jor-el wants Clark to get the crystal before it falls into the wrong hands and an army of clone Laras is created (the Clone Lara army idea, i forst heard from SVFanatic, I think)

I do remember in this season's first ep, that Jor-El told that Kara was bad news and he should be careful around her. Jor-El probably didn't know anything about the crystal in question.

Good point, but unfair for Jor-el to assume Kara is an untrustworthy traitor just because her father was a cheating lowlife. Zor-el's treachery had nothing to do with harming Krypton (at least, not as far as we know so far).

I sort of see your point, but why doesn't Clark tell her about everything else -- like the fact that Lionel is a good guy, channeling Jor-el, etc. Also, does Lana know about kryptonite yet? Green, red, etc.? Furthermore, does Clark know Lex faked her pregnancy and cloned her?
Season 6 ended with so many things unsaid between Lana and Clark. Now they finally end up together and they act like an old married couple instead of honeymooners who can't get enough of each other. Where is the sense of relief that they can finally tell each other the truth? The first thing we see Clark share with her is the crystal? It bothers me.

I think we have to assume that Clark has told Lana everything that has come to his mind. Personally I think the only thing he would hold back is that she had died in Reckoning.
I think Clark showing Lana the crystal was TPTB attempt at showing just how much he wants Clana to work and to be completely honest whereas that Lana has taken a different track and is working against Clana whether she is aware of it or not.
I really believe that Clark's secret was more important than Clark and now that she has the secret the novelty has worn off a bit. That's why it seems easier for her to focus on Lex.
