he was sent. we've seen that from previous seasons.

Why all the confusion? It seemed pretty clear to me...unless I misinterpreted it...correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Lara said something about a "portal," which would explain how the three Kryptonians were able to get to Earth and back to Krypton so quickly.
2. They were dressed like humans to blend in.
3. Al/Miles suck at continuity so they were dressed more like it was the 90s or 2000s than the 80s

That's because he was a baby and only wore a blanket. Lara didn't pack any clothes with him.
Yeah I gotta say, Kara didn't look very 80s to me. Although that could be because Krypton is a superior civilization, so maybe they're ahead of the curve in fashion too.
I just got a sudden mental picture of Kara with the big Jersey girl perm with the side ponytail.

Wrong information. This was the trend in the 80's. I lived it, so yeah they did. ;)

I second that! Except for Zor-El, keep your clothes on meng, you pervert!
Ahhh damn I missed that one, I was WAY too caught up in the clothing issue.
And I third that motion.

Dont forget, when kara followed lara to the kent farm, the time was back in the 1980's, people wore polo shirts. that was the style then. I mean, not all people but the young people did, if you were a preppie. this is a bit of information to you young folks out there who were born in the 80's and 90's. Kara wanted to fit in.
Yeah but those jeans were definitely NOT 80s. I'm sticking to my Kryptonian "superior fashion sense" theory.

Kara should have been wearing the Madonna lace with matching glove.
Wouldn't that have been a treat?

as soon as i say the popped collar i thought "kara's straight out of Valley Girl!" (which is that 80s movie w/ nicholas cage). and the tacky earrings were pretty 80s too!

Folks, you've got to remember, this is Kansas. We're at least 3 years behind any trend and jeans and cotton short sleeved shirts are the uniform of the day for the last 50 years that I know of.

Not that hard folks, Kryptonians knew about Earth and had portals to get there. They dressed to blend in when they went there. End of story.

Heh. When I saw what Kara was wearing I thought "WTH?" I mean, ok, she knows she's coming to Earth so she uses Kryptonian tech to whip up an outfit to make her fit in and that's what she chooses? Ugh.
And seeing as how Lara didn't change (or Zor-El)....

Perhaps Kara say that Lara didn't wander around naked and decided to shop at the same place Lara did. that it was wiped from her memory explains why Kara likes being nude so much in Bizarro...
