After the flashback, why was she floating like that? It made no sense to me...

Maybe the height makes her think harder...

Wasn't she just flying above Earth? Like she was thinking about that memory on Krypton while flying? I could be wrong...
She was in the air - "hiding" - and thinking about the crystal -
IMO

What I mean is...After the flashback, she was suddenly upside down and falling back...but why? It looked weird...

Just one more thing we can blame on global warming.

It just like what Superman does in his movies. He goes up there to clear his head and then listen for danger.

But why wasn't she just floating vertically? Instead, she was floating horizontally, as if she were laying in a bed...

She was just relaxing, collecting her thoughts, in the same fashion Superman did, hovering above Earth, in "Superman Returns."

My guess is that she was so deep in thought that she just kinda let her self drift. I doubt she was like "OK while i reminisce, I think I'll float sideways." It looked more like it just sort of.....happened that way.

i had thought maybe she was sleeping/dreaming while she was floating.

It was a result of Jor-El's implanted memory because he was the one who really gave her the blue crystal and knew she wouldn't trust him, so he modified her memory (like Kevin Grady's father did to him in Blank) and sent her to Earth with the blue crystal. That glitch in the middle of her flight was no coincidence. The Jor-El we have known all along in the FOS is Zor-El.

Then why did Zor-El tell Lara that he put the DNA in the crystal so they could be together?

Yeah, you're right. It is my theory. But what do you think? Possible?

It's possible that Jor-El put another crystal into her ship containing the DNA and possible that Zor-El didn't know because Jor-El went behind his brother's back.
