I'm gonna have to say shelby  but seriously anyone would be a better parent then jor-el. What kind of father brands his son, and then makes him choose between the people in his life to die.

i like movie jor-el, and comic jor-el waaay better then SV jor-el.

May be it's because he is a fake one all along...I always thought that Brainiac was inside of the FOS and tricked Clark all this time.Lionel is the real Jor-El's possession.

My money's on Jor-El. In spite of his outlook so far most of what he has done has been for the best.

Lara seemed pretty awesome! I would say Shelby but,...he just is not there for Clark as much as he needs to be. :(

Lionel is Clark's real daddy. He got with Lara while she was hanging out on Earth back in the 80s disco days. Lionel is a master pimp. He could be everybody's daddy.

Whats wrong with ruling with an iron fist?

Well, we don't know how the flesh & blood Jor-El was as a parent. I think the FOS version of him is definitely lacking something (if it's even his will and not Zor-El's in the FOS). It's possible that if Lara's will were to be introduced to the FOS, she would become as ruthless as Jor-El.

Voted for Lara, every Mom wants to save her child.

Shelby?!? What kind of forum is this?

But for my answer it would be Lara. She and Martha shared so any qualities. Both were devoted to their husbands and respective families.

Most of all, Helen was the best part of this episode and she was also the best part of the Supergirl movie despite it's cheesy plot.

tempted as I was to vote for Shelby....

I had to go with Lara. A mother is someone who wants only the best for her child, wants them to be happy and live in a wonderful place with loving people. Even if it means giving that child up.

That was Lara.

I find it extremely interesting that, for all the talk about Clark's fathers, it is really his mothers who are the true strength of his families.

You know kryptonians came from galaxy far away. They had rules & beleives different from us probably what brought them to their dreadfull destiny. But,from what I witnessed in that episode Lara was a good mother and she wanted the best for her son.

Hmmm, I didn't think of that. Lara seems different, not as cold as other Kryptonians we've seen. BTW, it's pretty sad that Shelby got way more "better parent"
votes than Jor-El.

I voted Lara it went back to memoria in s3 when Martha said a only challenge to a fathers will is a mothers love or something like that. I think that Lara and Jor-el balance eachother out though. She was very loving and was willing to sacrifice so much for him.
