Anyone else think Yaeko took Hiros power to lightly. Most people in that day and age would freak out in a second and run, but she quickly puts 2 and 2 together and figures it out and barely seems suprised. Maybe she does have a power and when and if Kensei gets her back and they have kids that may be the first time 2 people with powers had kids thus starting the 'generations' of people.

To be honest, people in this day and age would be more likely to freak out and run. People then were generally more spiritual and wanting a supernatural event.

That would be so funny if that was the explanation for why 93% of the World's population was dead - they all had powers...

id say that the virus mutated to kill people without powers. and that 7% of the world has powers.

Remember, she had already experienced Hiro's powers when he first saved her from those bandits, dressed as Kensei.
To this point she had also seen real Kensei's power of healing, so in conclusion I don't think she should have been too surprised at that stage of the events.

Besides, as someone above said, people were more spiritual and mystical in those days... they had other beliefs and traditions...
