Maybe Maya is the virus? (Graphic Novel spoiler)

I think that Maya's power is a virus and that Alejandro is the vaccine to her power, because in graphic novel 51 (Maya y Alejandro) they talk about "the ability to host a deadly virus".

What if the Sylar, Maya, and Alejandro make it to New York and Maya cant control her power and Alejandro cant save all those people and the virus just keeps on spreading. Or even if Sylar kills Alejandro and still doesn't have his powers back and can't/wont save all those people from dying in New York.

Maybe Bob knows what the paintings mean and and is trying to develop a cure for some abilities so he can keep this virus from wiping out the entire world.

I think that might be true. To me, it seems that Maya's power can't exactly help the heroes solve anything, at least not yet. Maya was introduced onto this show for a reason, ad maybe this is it. Maybe her power is the virus, or something like it.

It's possible, but I'm betting more on the fact that Midas Bob's manipulated virus was the one that got unleashed and spread to the rest of the population.

As for Maya, based on the graphic novel, I don't think Maya only carries one virus, I think she can be a carrier for any virus, which is how I think they will tie her in to the supervirus Mohinder's curing. If that's the case, both our theories could be correct - Maya may spread the one Bob was messing around with.

I totally agree on this theory. Maya was indeed introduced for a reason and she will probally have alot to do with the evacuation of New York..considering she is going to New York.

The scenes were she spreads the virus there are very few people and few enough for her brother to fix it. But Sylar may kill her brother or her brother won't be able to reverse what has happened once they are in a large city like New York.

Yeas, a very cute couple! Do you think Sylar's powers are gone or have been temporarily disabled with a vaccine?
If Sylar does kill both Maya and Alejandro and grabs his powers, he would feel invicible. He could decide who dies and who can be saved when he turns his eyes black... A very unsettling possibility...
