View Full Version : Why didn't the psycho-nerd tell Lex the truth?

Did I miss a scene? What made the psycho-nerd change his mind about Clark catching the bullet? It didn't really make any sense considering he not only saw Clark catch the bullet, but he also must've known that Lana survived the fall.

He was an avivd Comic book fan, he knows not to out a hero. Even if it was reality and not fiction

Nailed it right on the head there. He could tell Lex was the bad guy and even though Clark took him down, he still held true to his beliefs.

Okay, that makes sense!

I knew someone would ask this question! Yea, he's a fanatic of comic hero...anything that stands in hero's way must DIE! Like Lana! So he's protecting Clark from Lex...how sweet! We should send him a "Thank You" card for that!

He said that the line Lex quoted was one from Devilicus. So now he identifies Lex with Devilicus, so Lex would be the last person he would tell.

yeah pretty simple really.
its funny how every guy that ends up in belle reeve vindicates clark for it. the staff at belle reeve must be suspicious of something comeon.

I always thought that. Shouldn't the biggest tip-off for Lex be that almost every meteor infected he "inherits" from the hospital and so forth has fought and lost against the mighty Clark Kent?

That last scene with the fanboy was so
sweet. It conveyed that there is something
redeeming about his hero worship after
all. The way he walked away from the
seductive Lex and crouched off to the
side made the episode for me.
You just don't mess with the S!

Psycho Nerd? I'm offended.
Ben was great. Not only did he almost kill Lana, but he defended his hero agains the villain. He stayed true to his believes. Go Fanboy! :D

As he wrote ...
The fan tried to do crazy things but it was all for clarck's destiny and purpose(as he see it) . . .
So he didn't changed his mind, on the contrary! he sticked to it's plan - help clarck fulfill he's destiny by means of not exposing clarck's secret.

Well said. :) That was a really sweet moment (and very well acted). I almost teared up a little...

Just a thought to be typed. The nerd probably didn't want to risk the chance of Clark not becoming a great hero like the Warrior Angel character from the show. He probably thought that Lex would in some way prevent his rise to heroism.

I also assumed it was because the kid recognized that Lex was Clark's Devilicious. (I know it's "Devilicus", but I find "Devilicious" more amusing).
And my thought during the scene: "Boy, that's really gotta make Lex p(eev)ed. Even a psycho comic book nerd with the promise of a fortune in rare comic books won't reveal Clark's secret. What's a villain gotta do?!?"

Haha, yeah. Lex must be extremely aggravated by the fact that no one is telling him the truth about Clark, not even Belle Reve folks.

Actually this has just made me think about something. Clark put a whole bunch of kryptofreaks in Belle Reve - loads of them still had their memories of Clark having powers. Lex could have asked any one of those krypto freaks what Clark's secret was.

Perhaps, like the fanboy, they would intuitively know that Lex is evil. While they all have a beef with Clark, they recognize that giving Lex that knowledge would be even more dangerous.

There was no need for the "nerd" to tell Lex the truth when he already knows. :)

Okay, then, confirmation of that truth. :)

Oh yea! Too bad Chloe didn't take 10 more seconds to figure out what to do.
That last scene redeemed the guy a LOT in my mind. Just makes a hero's job tougher when you have to lock up someone trying to do good.
