LMAO...I seriously doubt if this thing stays positive HOWEVER...

LANA ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF!!! This girl is out of her mind!! Shes playing a deadly game with the Luthors of all people..how awesome is that?! How many other people have played this kind of game and lived to tell the tale?!? Now i know that there is still time for Lana to get her a$$ handed back to her by the Luthors...but still I think she is the one person who has lived to play it the LONGEST!! and she is kicking some Luthor tail right about now!!

Lana the baddest biotch, ya better recognize!! :p

I think she's lucky that she caught Lex at a good time. Had she caught him in his Commencement self or his seasons 5/6 self (like what he did to AC and others who tried to hurt him), she would have been dead by now. She also learned some new tricks.

But I'm certain Lex knows what she's up to. Especially after Lois made him aware of a certain LL buying all that land around the dam. His tone when he spoke to Clark and what happened to Warrior Angel's girlfriend wreaked of him knowing what Lana is up to.

Haha, the only reason she's lived long enough to do it is because she's a main character on the show. If she was anyone else she'd be dead or chased out of town by now. It also helps that both the Luthor's have seemed to tone down their evilness recently (even if it's a farce). Lana definitely doesn't deserve the title baddest bi***. I think that belongs to Lex's other ex-wife, I forget her name, but the one who tried to have him killed by crashing the plane. She played both Luthors beautifully, and had Lex not of been a living miracle, she would have succeeded.

I'll give Lana props (and at the same time, take some away from tptb) for light switching in to the cold b**** she has become, while still maintaining her front in front of Clark. I think the more accurate title for Lana is "Lying, vengeful b****"

;)

Lana is making a grave mistake! The Luthors will make her pay, make her puke her soul out, make her scream like a little female version of Clark. PAY!!!!!!!!!! And pay back the 10 mill u stole from Lex.

I most certainly love her this way. I thought she was really spooky after she wacked Lionel and than switched to the sweet voice while talking to Clark. I was like, "Where did this come from?" and my favorite scene was her talk with Lional she was absolutely psycho and diabolical. It was crazy. I enjoyed it very much.
However, I agree with everybody that sais if it wasn't for the Luthor's having toned down their evilness and esspecially for Lex' love to her...she'd be in deep **** by now. If Lex wanted her dead, she would be. Period. So don't count on the genious mind of the cheerleader.

I have to say the writers have taken Lana down an interesting road with her recent actions, I just hope they don't go too far with it. I like seeing her be the bad ass that we all knew was hidden under that good country girl persona she had for so long, and ya can't blame the girl for wanting revenge on Lex and Lionel for what she has gone through and their parts in it, but I just hope that she doesnt go too far over the edge

As soon as I heard Lana mentioning Nell and then saw Lionel, I knew she was involved in Lionel being held in that cabin.

Lana is great this way. For the first time in 7 seasons she isn't totally predictable. It's interesting that Lionel let her live. Why? Maybe he knows something the audience doesn't. For example, the Luthors may not be her real target.

Yes, she is far sexier with a bit of mystery and danger.

She is a "Luthor" now....great setup.

I guess clark will find out about all of her evil little deeds and decided to ditch her for Lois. But heck...I'd stick with her.

I really like her new hair style too. she looked more sophisticated in the episode......i thin kit's the hair. but her face actually looks the same as year 1. just that her hair, mannerisms, clothes..etc r different.

I hear ya, I think she will tell Clark the truth eventually when she is done doing her biz. But remember Clark still doesn't know about the baby or lex ***** slapping her. So in time she will tell him I think.

But I would rather watch her be evil then bake ****en pies all day. :rotfl:

Hitting Lionel in the head with the shovel was the most blatantly violent evil thing Lana has done so far on SV. I thought it was awesome! It was in shock actually that she would do such a thing (all possessions and vampire bites aside).

I love Lana when she is evil because usually when she is evil she is also smart about it. I think this new Lana is a very interesting character and I'm excited to see where they take her next.

Given a choice, I'd choose evil Lana anyday. :p
The fact that she's switching back & forth between sweet and crazy-evil beyotch when it's convienient for her..........
PRICELESS!!! She's much more interesting this way.

I agree...the girl is a little nutty right now!! It was only a matter of time before this side of her came out, after everything she has been through the last 6 or so years!!

this is random...but I would LOVE if Pete could come back and see how much the people he once knew, have completely changed..especially Lana!!!

It could also be that he is trying to establish a new, good relationship with Clark, and he knows that right now if it came to a showdown between Lionel and Lana, Clark would choose Lana. He will have to slowly convince Clark that the Lana he thinks he knows isn't the real Lana.

That is certainly why Lionel hasn't gotten retribution on Lana for locking him up in that cabin.

Actually, it relates more to the main topic of this thread in general. The real reason Lana has made it this long against the Luthors is Clark... and bad writing. She's basically got Superman watching her back. Even if he hasn't had to swoop in and save her from Lex yet, his existence makes everybody tread more carefully, especially Lionel who knows the full extent of his abilities. The bad writing comes in because Lex is behaving uncharacteristically. Seasons 1-4, he made really nice, gradual steps toward being evil. Then he started flip flopping back and forth all over the place. Maybe they didn't expect the show to run longer than 5 seasons, so that was when they planned on him culminating in total evilness? I dunno.

At any rate, I still give baddie Lana two thumbs up. Way to go. She definitely is playing a dangerous game, and doing so quite impressively, even if she does have a few advantages on her side. And as somebody who's not exactly a Lana-lover... this opinion must really mean something!!! :)

:D yes, thatīs right, that stupid b..ch* .
she may be all the evil she wants, bute I really doubt that she has the brain to play with both Luthors without Lex realizes soon whatīs she has been doing with him:rolleyes: , and we saw how soon Lionel realized that she has kidnapped hired another crazy woman to kidnapp him, I mean; how long does she think she can play without being exposed? or without becoming a really villian?
Althout Lionel became a better person and heīs helping Clark now, Lionel Luthor has a lot of years of experience being the master of the villians and an expert of the manipulation., a little inexperienced girl like Lana canīt handle him, as much as she has been poisoned by Lexīs evilness. :p ;)

i have to say that lana is pretty unstable now. the whole lex thing caused some psychological scarring (which definitely makes for some great story potential this season!) but she's gonna need to go to a mental institution before too long! and the fact that she's this far into the game with the luthors says something about how far her evil skills have progressed.

fave lana part so far: hitting lionel w/ shovel, telling marilyn not to say a word in a totally creepy manner, then switching into pretty pink princess mode to talk to clark. that gave me the chills!

No denying that she's two faced enough to keep the ruse going. I don't think anybody's questioning that. Her problem is going to be that Lionel and Lex are both far more experienced in this type of game than she is.

Flashback to Season 1 finale: Lex attempts to found his own company, LexCorp, only to find that Lionel has won over enough of his shareholders to perform a hostile takeover. Lionel warns Lex, "If you want to take me on, son, you have to bring your game to a whole other level."

Lex was tough enough to take on his father, but not good enough to win. Now Lana, who has far less experience than Lex did back then, is trying to take on BOTH Luthors, both of whom have far more experience at this type of thing than they did six years ago. Lex in particular has come a very long way in terms of dastardly mastermind.

I'm not saying Lana's not impressive, having made it this far. Even with the advantages she has (SuperClark at her side, Lex obviously still having feelings for her, possibly others), she's demonstrated remarkable skill to last this long. She can't win though. Her competition is just too stiff. Unless, somehow, she's actually working WITH one of the Luthors and not against both of them, or if she has some other unlikely ally (Oliver Queen maybe, who knows), she's going to get caught up in her web of treachery pretty soon. When that happens, I suspect she'll lose not only the game, but Clark as well.

I agree that there is no way that Lana can defeat both Luthors. At least not on her own. Even with Clark around for protection Lex could have Lana killed so easily. I think the writers need to come up with a really good explanation why he hasn't done so already. Even though Lex told Lana she could come back to Smallville and she would be safe to live her life any way she chooses I can't believe he will continue to just let her keep meddling in his business. Live and let live has to work both ways.

Well, regarding the explanation for why he hasn't had her killed yet, that's already been given. He still loves her. Whether or not you go for this version of Lex Luthor who falls head over heels in love with pretty in pink is up to you. I think that's how they're running him though, and as long as they're internally consistent... eh, I don't mind a reimagining of the character, as long as it's ultimately going in the right direction.

Regarding why he lets her keep meddling in his business... he absolutely has to know by now. He's commented on how he thinks she's brilliant. He knows she has some money to work with. Somebody with privaleged information has been foiling his work left and right. Capable of puppy dog love or not, he's still Lex Luthor, and he must have figured it out by now.

So, why does he let her keep up at it? I don't know. Maybe the work she's foiling isn't real at all. Perhaps he has her jousting at windmills just to keep her busy. It would be a pretty effective way of neutralizing her. She wouldn't even fight back, because she'd think she was being effective. But who knows. It's still too early to say what's really going on regarding that plotline.

I agree, this worked for Lana when they didn't know what she was capable of, but now they do, and she won't be able to get one over on them anymore. So because of this, she should quit while she's still in one piece. Because by continuing this, not only will she lose herself to darkness but she will lose Clark as well. And that would mean she will have nothing left.
