I thought Lois's scenes in this episode were great.
Her cloths, her attitude towards both Grant and Lex, her reluctance to drop the story.
Added bonus was seeing Lex not fooled by Lois wearing glasses (I guess they only work for Clark  ) and also acknowledging her as a journalist.

I liked Lois in this episode but I was kinda disappointed that Lex didn't call police.
Didn't Lois wear similar glasses as Clark did?

Grant is working for Lex. It's the only explanation for him wanting Lois away from the Luthors. The romance is just a cover up.

^ Agreed. Grant is definately working for Lex. He went straight from "stay away from the Luthors" to "go out on a date with me".
As for the Lois scenes...hmm...I didn't like them as much as I usually enjoy Lois scenes....and wasn't she suppose to show up in the cabin?

I love it how Lois made Lex very concerned at the end of that scene. Now Lex knows that Lois is monitoring him and this should set up a nice arc through the rest of the season.

Well thats if tptb dont scrape the idea like lois showin up at the cabin,I would have liked if she did. Then her comments at the end about either lex got a lead from her or was up 2 it the whole time would have been better imo.I do think its a good setup for sumthin more but who knows :\

Them not showing her there made is seem her Article is fabricated to a point... she had one piece of documents that there was a cabin and Lionel was there... instead of investigating it herself she reports after Lex finds Lionel... also the signature on the Documents just says LL with squiggles... a good coverup would be Lionel Luthor bought the Land and was taking a sabbatical away from his son and company...
Also the fact Grant mentioned she's new here and that she needs proof and facts I can assume non of those articles she did while on assignment were printed because again it seems her getting evidence is a skill she's seriously lacking... not saying she won't develop it, it just shows she isn't ready for the Planet yet IMO... she should ahve worked at a Local paper first.. the Ledger for example...

I think it is interesting how two people watch the same scene, and ended seeing so different points of view. In my opinion, it was quite obvious that Grant said that because he didn't want Lois investigating the Luthors. We have no idea if Lois's articels were printed or not, however I would find hard to justify the expenses of sending a reporter to cover a story in N.Y. and then L.A., and publishing nothing she wrote so far, don't you think?
The real message behind everything Grant said was: 'Stay away from the Luthors. We don't publish anything against them!'.
Which will be proved in Wrath soon enough.

I love Lois. I missed her so much in the last two episodes, so my expectations were very high for Action. Needless to say I was dissapointed. Not with Lois, she was great and I loved everything about her scenes. The DP entrence, cut back to Lois Lane's nametag, her traditional role behind desk half sitting half standing and talking on the phone while getting ready to chase a lead, her not listening to her editor and coments, the Lex investigation and her article later. The only thing is...I expected to see her more. Where was the Cabin scene? Where was the Clois scene? I guess I'll have to wait for that. Is she in the nex episode?

No, but I am ok with that. There are too many things happening in that episode, and I prefer her to appear in episodes where she is better used.

I figured Grant is working for Lex, hiring Lois hoping she'd do puff pieces while demoting Chloe who would do real investigative work on the Luthors.
It's backfired.

Lois was the Lois of Comic Book loir this episode, as was Lex and Clark. This was much better than I anticipated.

Grant definitely has something up his sleeve. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in cahoots with Lex.
As for Lois...Sadie Blodgott's got it going on!
Sucks that she's not in the next episode.

It did look to me like Grant was on the Luthor payroll. I liked Lois tonight. It would have been fun to see her following Lex to the cabin, but it wasn't really necessary to the story, so they didn't want to use up screen time on that.

Aw. Go Lois. She did great. I'm also seeing the Grant thing working out a bit, as long as it doesn't develop into a real relationship. I'm glad they both awknowledged that he's her boss, and they didn't go together.
And it was fun to see Grant be like: "Oh you're fired then."
Then Lois being like, "I don't officially work here, so you can't officially fire me." Then they both brushed it off :)

I don't think he was talking about firing her from her job.
I think he said "you're fired as my plus one," meaning you're not coming along with me anymore to the event.
To which she responded "You can't fire me," because she never officially accepted the invitation.
But maybe I'm wrong.

TPTB figured 5 minutes or less of lois is sufficient, I agree. A really fantastic 5 though.

It was totally rockin' to see Lois Lane the way she should look as a star reporter. I've loved Erica til now, but when I saw her in that scene I said to myself, "Now THAT'S Lois Lane!!" Awesome.

Not only did Lois have good scenes in this episode but apparently Sadie Blodgett the name on Lois's ID is actually an alias that the Lois Lane from the comics used once.

I was really, really impressed with Lois this episode, she both looked and acted like a reporter. Although I'm not happy with how she ended up at The Daily Planet, at least she's there and being more like the comic counterpart.
Did anyone else catch the sloppily drawn-on glasses on the Erica Durance Season 4 pic for her LuthorCorp pass?

I though she was ridiculous. She's no reporter and it's clear Grant ishired her because he has the hots for her and that he's really there at the DP to keep Chloe and anyone else from writing negative anything on the Luthors. He said it flat out. EDlois can't reserach, she can't investigate, she can't write a decent article to save her life and she gets caught every time she goes out to try to investigate. SHe's is no reporter and she is completely unworthy of being at the DP. That was made clear in this ep once again.

I don't think she was hacking. She didn't have enough time.
I think she was just pleased with herself how she managed to get into the building.

This episode was so awesome. Why was it? Lois Lane. I'm sure she thinks it kind of puzzling that Grant wanted her to stay away from the Luthors so much. Soon she will really discover the whole truth, she only needs one more piece of the puzzle. Lex is already discovering that Lois is a force to be reckoned with. You could see the look in his eyes. He knows that Lois isn't as easily intimidated or scared off as some other people that he has encountered. Some may still be fooled by him, but Lois definitely has Lex's number for sure. The reporting, the investigation, going head to head with none other than Lex Luthor, she is really on a roll now. I can't wait to see the next time Lois starts digging. It's just like Clark said: "She won't stop digging till she hits China." We'll, me thinks she's just about there!:D

There was a good close up of the article, but when I freeze framed (froze framed?) it got too blurry. But what I could read said that Lionel was found "wandering by a highway." So apparently Lois didn't get the real story! Can someone can get a good screen cap?
Unless Grant is a really lousy editor, he should have signed off on every story that goes in the paper. So how did Lois's story get by him?
The signature didn't have any squiggles, it just had LL. Who signs a title deed with just their initials? And what government agency accepts it like that?
Lois was great!
Her scene with Lex was classic

Lois was HOT in that black suit with the black frame glasses. Lex is going to have his hands full with Lois. Lois lets nothing go until she finds the truth. Good for her!

I thought ED did a wonderful job transitioning into the DP. The interesting thing is that it didn't feel forced to me at all. It seemed like a very natural extension of her previous character...she's very opinionated, she does what she wants regardless of what people tell her, and she's snarky. Before she got into the DP, I really didn't completely see her in this role, but I guess she was setting it up in her personality already. I'm impresed, actually. Great job for ED.
And actually, I kind of liked her interaction with Grant. I thought they had good chemistry together.

Agree all the way! (Even on Grant/Lois)
This was a good episode for everyone acting like their iconic counterparts. I'm definitely pumped up for more Lois scenes though, so it's tough we won't see her next week. Happily, the ep looks really cool still.
I wanted to add that I was surprised and sad that the spoiler of her following Lex to the cabin was cut out. For a moment there I thought Lois was the one who knocked down Marilyn in front of Lex. Then I was like, "darn, where's that girl???" Oh well. We've seen plenty of Action!Lois (pun not intended). It's her office persona that's really fascinating me.
