He finds out what Lana has been really up to?

She has lied about being with aunt Nell when she was really buying land with the stolen money and securing a place to keep and torture Lionel in. She lied to Clark on the phone right after hitting Lionel across the head with a shovel by saying she was watching a movie with aunt Nell

I have a feeling that Marilyn found Lionel but since Lex was in jail at the time Lana got the message and hired Marilyn to keep Lionel. The hand in the trap was pretty disgusting only a crazy woman would have ordered that

Will Clark forgive her for hitting a weak Lionel across the head for trying to escape both crazy women.

As a crazy, deranged, lunatic fan I don't like the direction they are taking Lana's character. Is there some comic book story in which Lana became evil?

And no. If Clark knew what Lana was doing it would end the relationship. He loves Lana because of what he believes her to be. The question is. When will he find out?

I guess this is one way to end the Lana/Clark relationship but I'd have to give it a thumbs down.

In this episode they mentioned motivation for a hero to become great. And by doing that they were going to kill is "true love". But Lana actions could be the "death of character" but not physical death that leads Clark to become Superman.

Historically, Clark doesn't give up on people easily. He didn't break up with Lex when Lex was naughty, and he won't immediately break up with Lana either. Though I feel sure that he will see her through different eyes. I think he will grow to pity her and because he feels sorry for her, he will be way too patient with her.

And, let's not forget that Clark will blame himself for what Lana has become, what she does, and her fragile mental condition.
