Firefly conventions...

I was just wondering if anyone is heading to any of the two Firefly conventions the weekend of Oct. 27 and Nov. 2 in Burbank/Los Angeles?

So for Creation Entertainment's Salute to Firefly/Serenity Convention in November (Burbank, CA), they have just announced the first guest star:

Jewel Staite (Kawinnit Lee Frye/Serenity's mechanic)

does anyone plan on going? am i the only browncoat on ksite that's going :( ?

I would love to go! :( I really wish I could afford to come over and go to a convention in America.. theyre amazing over here, i can imagine them over there! Is Jewel the only guest mentioned?

so far just jewel has been announced, but they had a convention around the same time last year (like 3 months ago) and over half of the cast was there: nathan, alan, summer, morena and sean.

i know it's really hard to get scheduling to work out with all the guest stars. but once you get one to come the rest kind of fall in to place.

but this year there are firefly/serenity, battlestar galactica & stargate sg-1 conventions all taking place on the same weekend, in the same hotel, so that should be crazy!! and those with gold or preferred tickets for an event can attend the others as GA. i think that's awesome.

i really want to see adam, summer, alan and nathan - if not the whole main cast...
