View Full Version : Monica ability hardest to put on screen?

Do any of you guys think Monicas character may be limited since it is physical stuff she has to do which can be very hard depending on what she has to do.

She's a 'copycat'. She could play any instrument and be a wicked dancer but she couldn't fly or shoot lighting by watching it.

Don't know if that answers Rocky's ? Frag Man. I think he was just wondering if her ability will be hard for the writers or whatever to show unless the girl can actually do some of the things they want her to do on screen. And if that's what he means then i'd say yeah it might be pretty hard but with special effects, trainers, and all that good stuff i'm sure it'll be ok.

Actually, he was asking about the character...

I asked myself the same thing. Does her power affect her muscles directly (giving her incredible endurance), or is she limited by her own physique?

I guess we'll have to wait and see (if it comes up at all).

I was talking about the scene where Miah had her choose which thing to copy between the jump ropes, dunking, and skateboarding. Obviously there is no way the actor can do flips on the skate board. So will things where the actor cannot physically do something limit the show is what I am wondering.

That isn't a big deal nowadays.
For XXX they just replaced the head of the motocross champion in post with Diesel's.
Lucas even goes so far to just take the actor's head and do the rest with CGI.

Indeed it will be tough on her, but I am sure they will be using a lot of stunt people as they did with that wrestling move.
Some won't be too bad, she could wear a mask before jumping into action and they can use the stand in/stunt woman.

They're called stuntmen. Most of the actors you see doing physical things aren't doing them themselves, because if the actor gets hurt, there goes the show.

Maybe, but sometimes they have to sub in men for women, especially when the stunt requires a lot of upper body strength.
