So we all know that Niki has super human strength.

Has it been explained what jessica's role?
All I know is that she's an alternate personality, but has it been suggested that Jessica maybe has the power to possess? Or is it just like some kidna crazy phenomenon where its the "mind and strength of two"?


I just want a bit of clarification because im like confused ... serial

It seemed in Season 1 that only Jessica had access to Niki's superstrength. Maybe it was Jessica that hoisted Bob like that.

Jessica had access to the strength only because Niki could not handle it. In the season finale - Jessica is now gone and told Niki that she is strong enough to go on alone - so Jessica is gone and Niki is just herself with her super human strength that her alternative personality (Jessica) hid from her because she wasn't ready for it......

I guess maybe Niki still isn't ready for it.

I think that Jessica is all the way gone now - that storyarch has closed.

Niki used super strength in a couple of eps in season one, most memorably fighting Candice in the finale

Jessica was a split personality brought on by the death of Niki's actual sister - Jessica. Jessica personality protected Niki's mind from what was 'too much' for Niki to handle - killing people, stealing, her powers etc.

But in the season finale - Jessica was released (as in she said good bye to Niki and disappeared) and all that was left was Niki - no buffer Jessica personality to help her cope.

So, Jessica is gone - and all that is left is Niki with the super strength.

Im not so sure about jessica being permanately gone though.... its sounded like she was definately @ the company to be cured of her split personality thing... thats what bob said anyway...

If Jessica was really gone, I don't think Nikki would've gone
on a near killing spree on her own, nearly kill Bob, and have
to be tasered by Mohinder.

Yeah Niki also used the superstrength in prison when she snapped the guards baton, though that wasn't nearly as obvious. Leonard Roberts mentions it on the DVD commentaries about how its the first time that Niki accessed the power, not Jessica.

However, I do agree that it wasn't Niki that went on a rampage in the Company offices. Who it was, I don't know, since Jessica IS supposed to be gone. Maybe she isn't, or maybe Niki just took on another personality. Anything could happen on this show. I remember in one of the graphic novels with Niki and Peter in the future it mentions that Niki has "lived a lot of lives", so maybe her multiple personality thing isn't just limited to Jessica.

Maybe Niki went there to become normal again, for a cure- Not for the multiple personality thing. Maybe Bob set that whole thing up with niki attacking him, I mean it was excellent timing that he gave the tazor to mohinder JUST before he was attacked. This would also mean that she is misleading Mohinder to believe she's still there to get control of Jessica still (in return for their help). I can't figure why they would do that outside of seeing if Mohinder is to be trusted.

I think that's highly unlikely...lol. Cause what if she doesn't have full control yet and when throwing Mohinder breaks his neck or back or something. Then i think the company would be REALLY pissed and i doubt they're willing to take a chance like that.

See I thought that too... especially since that scene with Bob striking a deal with Niki to get cured. I think she's def there for the strength to be 'cured' because now that Jessica isn't around as her 'buffer' shes seeing how difficult it is to control it.

And yeah - it was a little too 'right on time' with Mohinder getting a tazer and Niki running out there.......
