Well, Chloe's only really known Jimmy for a year... It took Clark five years to tell Chloe his secret and six to tell Lana.

Yeah because of Chloe. Chloe converted him into a freak hater.

So... his everything saying that she was a meteor freak... it would surprise him at first but... I think he would come through in the end.

I get why she wouldn't take the risk. She was afraid. *shrug*
