I thought their interactions in this episode were interesting. It was almost like Clark knew Lex knew about his powers and didn't care.

There was none of the "Clark you need to be careful around this guy" stuff like in previous eps where they talked about the villians. But that could be because Lex doesn't give a crap if Clark is hurt.

I thought Clark picked up Lex rather ... tenderly.

It was kinda cool seeing them work togetehr without fighting. It was like they reached a mutual ground jsut this once and didn't have to question the other's motives. Though, I still do look forwrad to Lex's turn to the dark side. mwahahaa

They better NOT become friends again

Yes i found it rather candid of clark to openly admit he had killed someone. And I found it rather strange at Lex to just carry on a convo with Clark about the ordeal without asking "how did he kill him?"

I just hate it that Lana had to be mentioned again. Will they ever have another conversation without Lana being mentioned before Clark becomes Superman (i.e. before the show ends)?

I loved the Clex. It was odd, though that Clark openly addmited he saved Lex so nonchalantly. But I found it interesting that Lex was the one on Clark's side, telling him the truth and being so natural around him, and not Lana.

yes. there was genuine concern coming from clark when he picked up lex.

of course they need to talk about what happened in the finale...umm like...:

"Hey Clark, what happened with that Phantom"

"Hey Lex, sorry I almost killed you for thinking you killed Lana"

and...

"Hey Clark, your cousin saved my life"

I loved the scene, Lex and Clarks interaction was always my favorite aspect of the show. I hate the straight enemy thing all the way, it's boring.

And yes I noticed how Clark seemed to hide less, like he already knows Lex knows he has some sort of power. And Lex didn't even bother to ask.

I thought the Lex/Clark stuff was great. There's a lot of history between them (and No, its not all Lana), and I like when they have interaction that makes you recall that. I like that Clark still wants to save Lex, even if it bugs him. I like that Lex still seems to react so strongly to Clark. I know there is no going back to any sort of friendship whatsoever, but their interaction is always so emotionally charged and interesting to watch.

I like how the show has made you root for the Clark/Lex friendship even though you know it will never return.

It's sort of like Clark and Lex (and this is just me problely reaching) want to be friends again but both know that simply isn't possible with everything that has happen between them and what each of them have done to each other.

There really needs to be more Clark and Lex scenes where they aren't always accusing each other.

Wow. On this subject, I thought it would be impossible for three people back-to-back agree with me. Woohoo, this is my lucky night!

Yeah I thought it was weird too how Clark and Lex both acted like Lex knew Clark's secret and neither one really cared--It was just like "whatever you're here now so listen to what's goin on"-- like they have had very little previos interaction (except for the Lana mention) but it was kinda refreshing that they could talk for once and not be all accusatory and in eachother's face about "ulterior motives" and i hate you you hate me junk

I agree, total enemies means there's no Clex. I mean, if you don't get to see the two of them interact frequently, then what's the point? At least if Clark is helping Lex or Lex is attempting to relate to Clark, even if they are not friends, then they are interacting. Even though the focus of the show should absolutely be Clark's journey, I have found that I have really enjoyed Lex's journey to evil as well. He is already over to the dark side, but if he has a little good left in him sometimes, I don't consider that regression. I just consider it the other half of his journey. He's crossed the line, but he's still close to the line, just on the other side. Periods of humanity for him at this point still seem realistic to me. And more entertaining. :)
