Did anyone else jump?

I was totally expecting a lame intro reiterating stuff we already know in the Kitchen with Lana, Kara, and Clark- then suddenly MM busts out of nowhere, I'll be honest, it startled me. Anyone else get that affect or did I just incriminate myself?

I felt Lana was out of place in that scene. I do like the tension between him and Kara. Will make it interesting in the future.
