View Full Version : Is J'onn J'onzz right about Kara Zor-El?

The assassination plot against Jor-El is one thing bc it was Zor-El's doing. But truthfully how much does Kara know about what her father was up to? It's natural for a daughter to defend her parents against accusations as harsh as J'onn's, but does she truly believe her father was innocent or is this what MM claim it is - a ruse she's putting up to protect her real agenda? Clark knows very little of Kara's life on Krypton, as well as the twisted El family tree. But the way she took off, is that out of rejection or strategic withdrawl?

I was going to ask this, because I don't know what the real story is behind those two. Is her family REALLY bad?
She seemed really upset. I don't think she believes her father did anything wrong.
Usually in Smallville, when someone has a hidden agenda and they have feelings other than what they show to other characters, it is shown to the viewers.
Like when Clark and Lana were hugging, and Lana said "I would never hide anything from you", they did a close up of her face and it was obvious she was lying.
I assume that, if Kara did believe her dad did something wrong, we would have got one of those close ups.

I was wondering, where is she taking off to?
But then, don't u think we should feel sorry for Kara, its not her fault that the El family tree is twisted...so wut's w/ MM's accusation of Kara being dangerious. MM needs to cool down and back off! And I'm so sad now man, Kara please come back! Come back!

I'm betting that it will wind up having something to do with Kara's 'Fuzzy Memory' from the extended Cryostasis (sp?). Her crystal probably has directives for her to kill Clark and take over Earth. Hence the reason Jor-el and MM are telling him to find the crystal first.

She is not being portrayed that good, because we can clearly see that she is using Jimmy to get to the crystal.

She's probably convinced that if MM got the crystal, he'd use it against her...or worse, get Clark to do it. She's afraid, and so she left to hide out for a while.

They're both wrong about each other. In time, they'll realize they didn't really know what was going on between Zor-El and Jor-El and realize there was no reason they couldn't be friends.

She never really denied what MM was saying, all she said in her defense was bringing up what he did to her family.

He's right about her dad, but not about her. She doesn't know the truth. That's my theory.

i hate her character, she's a manipulitive little *****, and fankly i couldn't give two shits if she got sucked into the phantom zone!!
she's obviously misunderstood about her family, and will end up on clarks side anyway, i understand we don't know what all of this is about, and also a bit harsh for MM to appear in the kitchen and grab her neck, but he has reason, he knew clarks father and respected him!!!!!
down with kara
booo hissssssssssss

Well, that's the way it plays out in the comics. Kara's dad is bad or crazy or something. His real intent in sending Kara to Earth is to kill Kal-El, but she eventually chooses her own destiny and decides to be a "good guy".

I hope so,
Because I think MM is a better character...even if the Smallville interpretation of him kind-a confuses me,

i think kara doesn't know exactly what she is supposed to do. That is to say she has one "mission" and will more then likely try to carry iy out but there will be "unforseen side effects" ie an attepmt to kill clark, wreck something major, maybe even try and hack into the fortress and take it over from jor-el and replace him with Zor-el giving kara exclusive rights to the fortress instead of Kal.

Kara isn't bad and J'onn doesn't know the whole story.
If Jor-El and J'onn had a "Don't ask, don't tell," policy, there's got to be a lot about Zor-El J'onn doesn't know about. Jor-El just asked J'onn to believe him.
Which is crap.
Jor-El and Zor-El just didn't agree with each other. No one is bad.
