From what I hearz..again...lol....is Clark tells Chloe this and she understands that she wont remember him, and is touched by his worrying...but she wants to go through with it anyway. She just tells him ppl will fill her in on him, I guess. I dont think there are that many Chlark scenes. They are mostly working separately, but the ones they do have are good.

Without even having seen this episode I am quite perturbed that they are going this route with Chloe. They're turning her into a hypocrite with all this superpower secret nonsense. After all the moral speeches she's given to Clark about sharing his secret with Lana she feels she can't even share her own secret with Jimmy. That is an utter repudiation of the strong moral compass, maturity and character growth we've seen Chloe develop over the last seven seasons.

Lana did used to say pretty often "All meteor freaks are evil", because she had only bad experiences with them.
Clark is an alien, but he thought Lana would see him as nothing more than a meteor freak.

Glad that she didn't go through with it. Jimmy was not the one for Chloe, it was more of a "I'm lonely, and you're available situation."
Even though Jimmy did check out Kara while he was with Chloe, I seriously don't think he would have acted on those impulses while they are still together. Jimmy maybe a dweeb, but he is still a good guy.
Oh, and Lana did have a bad attitude to aliens after the Evil Duo came to town in the ship and knocked her around for a while. Plus, I don't think it was Clark being afraid Lana wouldn't understand him being an Alien. I think it was more, him feeling responsible for the death of her parents in the meteor shower.

If the point of this storyline is to force Chloe to confront her own prejudices toward the meteor infected than it is a journey that I want to watch. If all of this superpower nonsense is nothing more than cheap drama that leads nowhere for the character than I am completely against it.

Sadly, that is precisely the criticism so many have with Lana. Although I am digging what appears to be the more mature, serious Lana this season. That is a change that is long overdue.

Indeed. I never really had anything totally against Lana, just tired of the damsel in distress. Now, she is living her life by her terms and its good to see Lana doing something about the things in her life, except waiting for someone to save her.

As far as Chloe goes, just going to have to wait and see.

Finally, this relationship is over! And, they're not wasting any time in setting up Kimmy either. Kara is totally into James, and he is confuzzled, but liking the attraction, IMO. Intimate dinner scene, sappy romantic if cute music. And the kicker is that Kara asks Lana what kept her from being with Clark? Clark's secrets. Kara, who looks like she's falling hard for Jimmy might actually say something, and what will Clark say, I wonder to that?

No, I agree with what you're saying. And I'm not saying you're who I'm talking about.

But it's just a general overview of what I've seen (on this forum at least).

I rarely see Chloe critisized. One of the main things that bothers me is that when something bad happens with Chloe, it's considered a fault of the writers. Kind of like "We still love Chloe, even though she wasn't written the way I like her to be".

But when something bad happens with Lana, it's considered the fault of Lana. Kind of like "I can't stand Lana. She's such a [so and so]".

Do you know what I mean? Sorry if I'm not being very clear.

No, I understand where you're going with this and I agree. All of the characters are fictional, so our complaints ultimately should be directed towards the writers.

Several of us were discussing Lana's character in another thread and how many of her faults have nothing to do with her as a character, per se, but how she is written.

I never really saw the whole Chimmy thing. It was a relationship that was never totally honest (is there such a thing in SV?). Chloe seemed happy to be loved, but she never seemed to be totally into Jimmy. It wasn't really fair to him. Not that a relationship with Kara would be all that.

All said, I'm sad for Chloe. She has been treated badly this season. I hope this is a journey for her that she will rise above and not just a pitiful way to peeder her off the show.

I think from Jimmy's perspective, it was a fluke.
We, the viewers, know how much Chloe cared for Jimmy, and why she couldn't continue to be with him.

But Jimmy only knows that he's got a girlfriend who always ditches him for a story or for Clark, and then has some big secret that he can't know. I don't blame him for dumping her.

see thats the thing,chloe isnt pinin...Imo she hasnt pine for clark since she learn the secret,she was very supportive of clana in s5.And while yes she's still in luv wit clark I think she had given up hope that clark will move past lana in s5,I mean look at all he gaveup for lana.

As for the brush off in Zod, makes me wonder if he would have said something before she did. Would she have dismissed him for Jimmy?? Knowing about his feeling for Lana.
With Lana know being in Clark's life, it would be nice to see Chloe take a step back from Clark and focus on her life.

I agree,jimmy does care for chloe and she for him...But I think this scene was to show that chloe doesnt care as much as jimmy does,I agree wit JOB that's what tptb seem to be showin.

Even tho chloe cried she didnt really put up a fight to save the ship,she even agreed it might have been a fluke.If anythin chlimmy had bad timin,the dark thursday/glass reference confirms that imo.

That happen on a day where chloe was more caughtup in emotions over clark and settle for jimmy.A diff time and chlimmy might have worked,but its hard for me to believe chloe felt the same as jimmy.

Cared yes but the same not so much,I do agree tptb handle the breakup pretty good.I was jus shocked it happen so soon,but wit jimmy's growin attraction to kara its good it happen now.

Honestly I think this is it,I figure they would have probs tonight and break for good in gemini.But it seems they split tonight,so I'm guessin the spoilers for gemini maybe them(or atleast jimmy)jus givin up on the idea.

I think chloe will avoid the situation as much as possible then jimmy may bring it back up later but by then chloe doesnt feel the need to save it.So this might be the end here,and jus later bein the final ok for jimmy to move on to kara.

We'll see,I 2 hope this isnt like crimson/tresspass wit them makin up jus as quick and brushin their issue off.

I hated Chlimmy. I really did so I have no idea why their break up scene brought a lump to my throat. It was just sooo sad. The scene was surprisingly well written and AM and AA both played it really well.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would watch the... break up scene... *sob* ...and not see how much Chloe wanted to tell him and how hard she tried.

It's easy to tell someone to be honest about being an alien to the person they love when you have no clue what that's like. YES it's the right thing to do. But when you're standing there, in the moment with everything to lose... different story.

I just can't even let myself hope that they'll get back together. My heart is really that broken. There's a kernel of hope but... *sigh*

I agree. Both Chloe and Jimmy came off very sympathetic in this scene. Both were obviously very very upset with the situation and it hurt Chloe to let Jimmy go hence the tears and the hearbroken expression just as much as it hurt Jimmy that Chloe couldn't open up to him. I normally hate Smallville break up scenes but this worked so well.

Probably because most of them are Clark and Lana, and it is never delivered well. :\ Oliver and Lois was a good scene too, though Oliver was a complete jerk, but I really felt for Lois there.

The first Chimmy breakup was sad too, but that time, you could see that the only one that was really affected was Jimmy, this time, both were devastated. :(

Yes the break up scene was very sad. I am so sad they split up I LOVED the Chlimmy, they were so cute together and Jimmy really did care about her. I was enjoying the Chlimmy at the start of the episode and when he said about the shard of glass....in fact the whole box of stuff - soooooo sweet.

I was so willing Chloe to tell him as truly I think he would understand. The reason Chloe didn't tell him wasn't because she wasn't that into him - heck you could see how broken up the girl was :( The reason was because she's felt the pain of rejection from Clark she didn't want to open up her heart to Jimmy only for him to reject her for being a meteor freak. The way she saw it by breaking up with him now, she was saving herself the pain of rejection later - similar to what she did when she split up with Clark in Season 2 or was it 3??

It's just so sad though **sighs**. They acted it very well though - sure has put a downer on my evening :\

Only thing that can make this sad situation any better is the resurrection of Chlark - 2007, make it happen **empties piggy bank in the wishing pool**

I am not suprised she broke up with him! First of all, he wasn't the 'one' for her! Secondly he has openly spoken about the freaks in a very negative matter, so it's no shocker that Chloe isn't runnig to tell him her secret! Why would she? Thirdly sence he isn't the 'one', she doesn't love him ss deeply! I am not saying she doesn't care, or she isn't sad about the break-up, but lifeshatering it isn't!
