Couldn't agree more. Joss Whedon said all the time that these types of shows (he was referring to Buffy and Angel, but same goes for SV) have to be serious without taking themselves too seriously.

I liked it, as corny as it was. Not every use of superpowers has to be dramatic, it can be silly at times too.

It was definitely some fun light humor. There's nothing wrong with humor guys, not even corny humor. If you're ashamed of that scene then you really really need to lighten up.

That was absolutely hilarious. First time I can recall actually bursting out laughing at something on Smallville. That is, at something that wasn't just preposterous or bad writing, but was supposed to be laughed at, anyway.

Smallville needs more tongue-in-cheek humor. That is totally something Clark would do.

I'm really glad to see so many people come in to support the obvious hilarity of that scene. The first several posters were all very negative about it. But it's funny! And it's not corny the way that the witches were corny. It's just bam! Joke. Done.

I think what would have been funny is, since Clark did a smiley face (basically his form of stick figure art) she should have done the Mona Lisa on the melon (a work of art). Now that would have been worthy of a serious bathroom run. :D

I have been gathering images for some things ;)

But I have been a little busy lately, my wife snapped her arm just above the elbow last Friday, she had surgery Monday where they put plates and screws in to hold the bones back together.
