okay so... things are kinda backtracking. what i loved about the last couple seasons is that it really started to develop toward the real superman, and you could see the progress toward it. and now... its like, okay zoners are gone, time to go north and fulfill my destiny... oh wait, now i have to babysit my cousin for a while.
and this episode just seemed sooo 5 or 6 seasons ago.
first of all, you have innocent lana "coming back from the dead". and clark is just like, "oh your alive, i wont ask." so now they can go back to how they were when first dated, cept now lana knows everything, so theres no problems, and shes rich. and now shes the new go to girl for moral support.
which kinda leaves chloe without a role, except she can pinpoint exactly where the treasure is solely on kara's description. without even seeing the map. i mean come on! chloes good, but kara doesnt know smallville, she wouldnt know the first thing about describing the map, and then clarks just there. go chloe i guess?
and now, and shes lost clark to lana? and her job to lois? and now possibly jimmy? damn her life sucks. and i like chloe too. but she plays no use right now.
and second, what i really didnt like about early seasons, every episode was like, "hey, here's a random meteor freak, now beat him, maybe figure out a new power, the end." and this was exactly that, cept it was more like kara in now figuring out her place or abilities.
i thought we were done with figuring out places with clark. he has his destiny to go to. now we have to suffer through kara. while clark just babysits.
if this season is just gunna be clark chasing after a rebellious barbie cousin, and dealing with random meteor freaks, while chloe suffers, lana is ms perfect, and main plot lines are not addressed, then i will be very dissapointed.
i think the only good part was when lex confronted kara. but now he knows the kents have some sort of secret. and he's bent on discovering it. maybe that'll save this season.
this episode was a mess i think. they skimmed through alot of needed explanations, and didn't really advance the main plot at all. i mean i LOVE smallville, but this just was ridiculous.
hoping for a better season,
