Personally I am torn between Lex and Chloe because they had the most true-to-character lines. I didn't feel Lana was like the Lana I love. Clark was a little out of it. Something was missing. And when it came to Kara, I could Kara-less

Kara saved the episode for me, Superboy not so much.

That's tough...

I really enjoyed Clark tonight.

I liked Kara. She was sweet.

Jimmy and Lex really stand out.

Chloe didn't have much to do.

I'll say... um... It's between Jimmy and Lex.

I say none on the list except Shelby. He did a great job in that staring-barking at Lana scene, his voice really touched my soul, Shelby did a good job there.

Lex, definitely Lex. After overcoming memory wipes and electroconvulsive therapy in previous seasons, he is piecing everything together (if he hasn't already). A Lex that knows Clark's secret is a greater adversary I think.

Lana was wrong, Lex is in love with her in his own way. But it's in own twisted way, that made him resort to deception and trickery in a desperate attempt to keep her. I wonder what he would have done with the clone had it not been blown up. Would he have used it in his army with Lana still being alive, or would have her as almost like a fall back Buffy Bot type after she left him.

And oh yes, I have to mention Shelby too. He did what always does best, being absolutely adorable :p Still, nothing can beat his reaction to Clark's practice proposal during Promise haha.

I've typically been a Jimmy-basher, but I've been liking his character more and more recently. Still, I cast my vote for Clark. His scenes with Kara were GREAT, and very clearly showed the upbringing her received from Jonathan and Martha. Tom Welling was channeling John Schneider in those scenes, and it was fantastic.

Jimmy was good. Kara was better than in Kara, but her character is still too early in its development for her to truly shine. I like Lana, but I found her just... odd. Chloe is behaving strangely, and I haven't yet seen a very good in-story explanation for why. I liked Lex in his scene with Kara, a LOT, but aside from that I'm a little confused by his performance also.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Shelby stole the show. :D

On a more serious note though, I'd have to say either Lex or Jimmy. Can't really choose, hmm...

Kara. She's made of pure awesome. Lex, of course, as always amazing, though that scene with Lana was painful to watch.

Kara by far reminded me of the insecurity of clark in season 1, her fighting kick was awesome.

Lana was believable though dont like the direction there are going.

Chloe is being phased out a little by kara being the sidekick of clark.

And i dont know what lex is up to yet.

It's hard for me to choose, mainly because they were all sucky. I kept having the image of a snakes and ladders board in my head, with every character going back to square one. Especially Lex; after all these years of journeying towards the dark side, I was severely disappointed to hear a line like "she saved me from drowing in the evil of my ways" from him. Yes, he said it to get Carter to back off, but the last couple of episodes have shown he believes it nonetheless.

I hear what you are saying but I thought his cynicism was perfect actually. I think TPTB are developing him best of all(ok, ok, except for Shelby). He has definitely taken the turn to the darkside because we see him pretending to be the weakened and jilted lover who has not learned to love because he is so self-aware and probably knows his destiny better than anyone else. All the while he is very adept at controlling people except for those who are his main focus and himself.
It was your comment that made me realize how sinister he is. Thanks

Lana was okay.
Clark and Kara were terrible.
Chloe was okay.
Jimmy was less than okay.
Lex was good.

All around.. I was pretty unimpressed.

Shelby though.. That dog has star quality.

Everybody sucked. This episode was not redeemable after the first ten minutes.

LV is growing on me, so I'll go with Kara. Shelby was a very close second.

All about Clark

Lana. Now I've been pissed with Lana since Reckoning, but I thought I saw her try to be good / honest / hopeful with Clark. Clark was struggling with Kara's defiance, and Lana helped Clark by putting it into perspective.

I am gonna say Lex he was great and MR acting this episode was great to.

Lex was the best, IMO he has appointed himself as the next savior. I think he knows there could be an alien invasion and wants to save the world from them. I am hoping he is also using Lana to get closer to the truth about Clark. I honestly believe that’s not the real Lana. I think it’s a clone. My theory is, towards the end of the series he going to download all of her info and set his plan of being earth's redeemer. Now that would be Luthor like and his recent castration by the Lexana relationship will have paid off.

Clark is ALWAYS the best.

It's funny how Kara is winning in this poll. lol She's the only one who got to use her powers, and somehow the kryptonite hit Clark but not her. They also centered the episode around her and put her in a bikini, twice!

Why don't we put Clark in a speedo twice, and let him use loads of his superpowers to save the day, and then ask who was the best in the epidose. Geesh.

Best scene in the episode was the Lex/Kara scene. Saved it from being in my top 5 worst episodes ever.

I have to say between Clark and Lana. Lana shows us that she is taking charge of her own life and willing to do anything for those she loves. Clark taking on the role of Johnathan Kent when dealing with Kara. Clark really played that out well I thought.

Well it's really a hard choice to make but I have to say that I loved Kara in that episode. Usually, I would be one to say that I love Lex.. but I was rather disappointed in his performace in thursday's episode; he lacked alittle bit in his character and it wasn't the Lex that I enjoy seeing!!! Which is the evil, not a care in the world Lex; it's kind of mean saying that, but he's better off being ruthless rather than being all "she saved my life"

I thought Clark had a heck of a roller coaster to deal with - Lana is back, Kara could expose them, he's dealing with immortality, saving the day, and kryptonite - Tom Welling, IMO, did a really great job conveying the various emotions that each situation merited.

Overall, I liked the whole episode, I thought that everyone did a decent job in terms of acting (minus the weather girls, whose acting was a bit flat)...but it was Tom Welling's acting that stood out most to me.

I have to agree with you Tom did an outstanding job with what they gave him to work with. Michel I though was a little flat until the last scene with LV, But all in all it was a nice job by all not a 5/5 but up there.

Take Care,

Jack
