Lex saved this episode. He pretty much admitted he knew Clark has powers. I think it is pretty sad that Clark and Lex would still be good friends if Clark would have told him the truth. I really do believe Lex when he said he would have protected Clark. I feel so bad for him.

He was a good person in the begining of the show and if Clark would have told him then, I have no doubt Lex would have walked through fire for him.

Shelby was as always a close second.

I loved my Jimmy, he also saved this episode. Clark and Kara were good, too.

Everything else I hated with the fire of a thousand suns.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that as much as their is darkness within Lex, Clark is the architect of his own worst enemy with his seeming indifference to Lex's humanity.

I am glad that Lex basically admitted that he knows Clark is an alien. Of course, that knowledge will wax and wane this season when the moment calls for it. That's how this show always works. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I don't know how this is supposed to work with Lex basically knowing Clark is an alien. This is a very sticky situation TPTB have cooked up for themselves. As much as I enjoyed that scene, in the back of my mind was the question, how will this affect their future dynamic?

I loved that Lana was back and that end Clana scene at the fair at the end!! omg ive been waiting for that since the first episode..like seeing that lana and clark are not perfect and both of them have lied and made mistakes and they still in love with each other..made me want Clana even more...omg "i wanna grow old together" i was like YES!!

The answer is it won't. As I pointed out in my comment above, Lex's apparent knowledge will wax and wane as the story requires. In those episodes where the knowledge might hinder the story Lex will completely forget or have some nagging doubts, in those episodes where it advances the story Lex's memory will miraculously return. :\

I respectfully disagree. Clark has very good reasons for not trusting Lex. In the past, every time Lex did something to show his humanity, it wasn't long before his careless ambition returned. Lex once saved Chloe's life from a safehouse bomb, only to threaten her in Season 6. He formed a business partnership with Lana in rebuilding the Talon, then later bombarded her body with hormones, even attempting to clone her! Lex has a pattern of following kindness with villiany. Ultimately, he treats his own desires as more important than anything or anyone else. It's extreme pride and selfishness, and that's one of his core problems.

This was a cute episode. It wasn't "OMG, did you just see that!" It was just cute and fun. I like that there was a lot of Clark awkwardness.

Clark's reaction to Kara's bikini was't on there, but that's what I would have voted for.

It was hilarious. I mean all of a sudden there was this almost naked blonde chick in Clark's living room, and Lana had no clue who she was. lol. Classic.

Instead though, I voted for the Lemonade thing.

I didn't even think about someone having to make it when I saw the episode, but now I find it hilarious that there was actually lemonade around. I would have LOVED to see him make it. too funny.

Most people are not really against Lana, they are mostly angry because of the way the writers have messed up her character on Smallville.

Personally I really liked the interaction between Lana & Clark in the beginning.
In the pilot I thought the way they had Clark falling all over the place when he got near Lana and her necklace.

But, the writers have messed up the Lana character so much, many people do not like the character anymore.

Lana was a part of Clark's history that was very important.
She was a thorn in Clark's side as much as Lois was in his adult life.
But, the Smallville writers have turned her into a character that some feel the writers want as the main character instead of Clark, and in doing so, they diminish Clark's importance and makes him look weak.

yes she was made by dc. why do i hate supergirl? shes a burden in a lot of ways for superman. she usually runs off into a fight and superman has to come bail her out. check out the batman/superman comic from 2004 titled supergirl. alot of the crap that went down in that novel was her fault.

also i cant stand the way tptb did lana on smallville. she doesnt know what she wants at all and it gets annoying. the character should have only been written for the first 4 seasons and gone after that but they kept her on the show for no reason. she keeps the story from progressing. holds it back waaay too much.

Why I liked this episode one word KARA!! I also enjoyed how in the opening you see Kara's heatvision flare when Jimmy catches her eye. What was going through her mind there? Whoa watch out Chloe! I also enjoyed the family dynamic between Clark and Kara, how all of a sudden Clark has taken on the parenting role. Also the fight scene where Kara totally saves Clark and kicks butt without wrinkling her dress. And of course the scene at the end with Kara and Lex was good too. Smallville for life baby yeah!!!

I like Lex's man-on-a-mission attitude, fueled by his miraculous rescue in the season premiere. He believes he was saved for a purpose, that his destiny is, in his eyes, to save the world from the "evils" of these alien, superpowered invaders. He's brought up that theme before in earlier seasons, about being saved from death for some unknown purpose.

His quest for Kara is likely one major step towards rightfully assuming his role as Superman's archrival by season's end. His belief in a preordained destiny - not unlike Clark's, btw - will have severe consequences for all. That alone makes Season 7 worth watching for me.

clark and lana being together i enjoyed-they dont need to be kissing or having sex right away-it is nice to actually see them be nice to each other, holding hands, making small talk, etc. Im sure all the romance will come. remember, all the times they have done the extensive and heavy kissing, it led to a break up within a few episodes.

the kara interaction with clark was good with clark portraying the parent and jonathan kent to kara's old clark by mentoring her through his mistakes.

should be a good setup with lex and the government.
