Nonsense; JO was a jerk there. His behavior was rerehensible. It wasn't okay to show the "instant attraction; that's repulsive and uncalled for. It was wrong and disliking Chloe is no excuse for saying it was okay. And no, they have not made it clear Chloe would dump JO the minute she thought Clark was interested in her; that is simply not true and is just an excuse to give JO a pass on what seemed very repugnant behavior in that scene. Even if it were true, and again, it isn't, it would still not excuse JO's behavior.

There's this saying, "two wrongs don't make a right," and it is clearly very applicable to many situations on Smallville. For instance, whatever wrong things Lex may or may not have done to Lana does not excuse Lana cheating on her husband or Clark being an adulter with her while she's cheating nor does it excuse her being willing to let Lex die in Nemesis or her threatening to kill Lionel after he was injured and awaiting surgery. It does not excuse Lana embezzeling ten million dollars from Lex either. It doesn't excuse her framing Lex for a murder he didn't committ.

I kinda liked Jimmy (loveable goofball that he is) and was disappointed in him but not surprised at his making eyes at Kara. She is very beautiful and, well, let's face it aren't all men dogs around beautiful women?

He was just agreeing with everything Chloe said to him at first... it was an open mouth insert foot attempt at being supportive of what he thought was Chloe's quest, biased on what Chloe had said to him, randomly shoved into the episode to create pointless drama just like the look back at Kara. The first time he caught her scooping him out he just waved and did a "What are you looking at?" face. Then suddenly when his girlfriend is there, who he always seems to light up for and say is wonderful, sweet, beautiful, etc. then he notices how hot Kara is? I'm with those that think Jimmy deserves a smack at the writers for this one. Of course he is going to have to get in line behind Lana, Clark, Lex, Chloe, Martha, Lionel, Jonathan, Lois...

I think had Chloe said, "That's going a bit far," then mentioned some of the nice MII like Tobias or the little girl from Fragile, Jimmy would have felt like a heel and said "Opps, guess that was a little prejudice of me then. Can we call it post near death experience psychosis? Up with good meteor infected and down with bad then." or something equally geeky and sweet. And they could have had the little moment but the writers want pointless drama.

I think, that Jimmy was acting like cannon. Cannon Jimmy would look, and he'd probably flirt and drool over models. And this Jimmy is a step up from that.

As I said in another thread, i really don't have a problem with Jimmy being attracted to Kara, or Kara being smitten with JO. Perhaps she had a crush on a photographer on Krypton. or on someone who resembled JO. (She is a couple years younger than Clark and it makes sense that she might find JO's boyish looks very attractive.) Jimmy shooting photos of her also probably flattered her immensely, especially after she'd been told by those girls that she basically wasn't worth bothering with.

Jimmy must have noticed how Kara seemed interested in him. How could he help but feel intrigued and elated as his ego was getting stroked by her?

Chloe only seemed puzzled and a little intrigued and amused at the obvious connection she saw between them. The chemistry between Kara and JO looked like it could produce fireworks ( it almost did in Kara's case!)

I think they'd be really cute together! :)

Chloe was never able to give or get that kind of look with Jimmy, and I don't think it was poor acting. they were just shown as not having any chemistry between each other, more like going thru the motions on the surface, but not feeling a deep-rooted attraction or fascination with each other. All this I'm certain Chloe is well aware of.

We know Jimmy has noticed the way Clark and Chloe look at each other, and that he's not privy to what secrets it is they share. So saying that they're all crappin' on Chloe, just isn't quite accurate or fair.

I disagree that Jimmy and Chloe were shown to not have chemistry. Chemistry is, I suppose, a matter of perception.

I think Chloe has received that kind of look from Jimmy quite often. She's given him that kind of look a few times, toward the end of Season 6.

Jimmy noticed chemistry between Clark and Chloe and also took note of how much time they spent together. I don't know if he saw an exchange of glances. Clark let Jimmy know that whatever he thought he saw was way off base. Strong friendship, nothing more.

I do think it's interesting to note the difference between Chloe's reaction to Jimmy looking at Kara vs. Chloe's reaction to Clark grinning at Lois during the dunk tank scene in Facade.

So either Chloe doesn't perceive a threat in Jimmy's glance at Kara, OR Chloe's not as territorial over Jimmy as she is over Clark. I'm gonna say it's the first one. But... it's up to interpretation I suppose.

But I do agree that to use Jimmy's look at Kara as evidence that the writers are crapping on Chloe is not fair.

Oh come on. He's a red blooded guy. He's going to notice stuff like that. Maybe he should have avoided the licking of the lips part. But Chloe pretty much did the same thing to him in Crimson & other episodes when she thought about Clark and wanted to be with Clark while she was with Jimmy. The main difference is that Kara was around Jimmy when Chloe was around and Clark wasn't in front of her (when she had those thoughts) when Jimmy was. Both Chloe & Jimmy were attracted to someone else without telling the other. The main thing is that Jimmy may actually take his attraction for Kara further along than Chloe ever did with what she has for Clark.

I don't know about what they're doing with Chloe this season. Maybe they will have her expose Lana's crime to Clark so she could get back at Jimmy by being with Clark after he rejects Lana.

I thought Chloe and Jimmy was a cute couple at first, but here lately not so much.I mean if she wasn't helping Clark,she was trying to keep a good name at the DP.Plus whenever Jimmy tried to reach out to Chloe , she usually would get distant ,probably because of her power.

So I think when Jimmy saw Kara he thought wow a beautiful girl (not saying that Chloe isn't beautiful ) and possibly no personal drama attached.lol

So maybe they need a break from each other.

I like Jimmy's character, even though they did make him look like quite the jerk in this episode with the way he was eyeing Kara in front of Chloe. Still, that was just a momentary bump in the road for Chimmy. The real obstacles had to wait, and are still coming, in Season 8.
