Do you guys think that one of the miners was Kevin Sorbo, and that the gold treasure has gold kryptonite in it and it rendered him without his powers, and that is what the medalion is for??

I have the image paused on my TV Now...
The guy on the right has a beard... doesn't look alike anyone interesting
The Left guy on the other hand... looks like the Government Agent.
Now... I wanted to think this is foreshadowing a bit... We have a kryptonian artifact that was supposed to be the spot where gold bars are buried... now could this foreshadow not only a Third Kryptonian, but Gold Kryptonite?

Thats what I kind of thought, and the distress artifact is due to him losing his powers and in need of help.
Food for thought though, did kryptonite exist prior to krypton exploding? In any form?

Apparently it did because the Kryptonian artifacts found in South America and China contained Kryptonite. Something I still don't quite understand.

Yeah kind of sounds like a continuity anomoly, I thought they said kryponite did not exist till the planet exploded and made it radioactive thus deadly to them.

I know from the spoilers Clark is going to encounter Blue Kryptonite so Gold Kryptonite isnt out of the question
