It's true that most girls are somewhat self-conscious about their bodies but in this case I think it has more to do with them respecing themselves..that's my opinion anyway.

I remember reading an interview w/ Kristin and she said something about how she would never expose her body because she thinks it's degrading to women. That's not a direct quote but she said something similar.

Personally, I don't like plastic store-bought chests. When Kara walks, 'they' jiggle, they are real. Plastic usually stays put, most immobile, no jiggle. Kara wins hands down or hands up.

If KK said she didn't wear a bikini because she thinks it's degrading, then I believe her. I don't see why she would be ashamed of her body - from what we've seen, it's great.

Those scenes are not for gratuitous viewing though. If you're going to cut someone, it's easier to get rid of the clothes. The two examples you cite hardly make for sexy easy viewing. She's pretty much being tortured in both.

And whilst you say naked, she's not naked in either episode. We didn't really see anything but stomach in Freak and in the stills released for Cure, she's wearing a bra.
