Well, according to young Jor-El, Earth was a training ground for Krypton.

The unknown Kryptonian will most likely be Kal-el's and Kara's grandfather of grandmother.

I heard it might be Kevin Sorbo's character and he is stuck here because of losing his powers due to gold kryptonite.

yea but he was stuck here with no powers due to gold kryptonite wouldnt he be extremely old then since it was around 100 yrs ago.

Possibly, I am not sure if they just lose their powers or become mortal, I thought it just supressed their powers where they still get the energy from the sun but cannot utilize it. So he may still not age very quickly.

Watch them not do anything with it until the mid-season finale and focus on Lana time every episode like they always do.

The lifespan for Kryptonians is longer than humans. Regardless of having powers or being under the sun.

Correct me if I'm wrong (since this may have been changed in the post-Crisis comics), but to the best of my knowledge, Gold Kryptonite doesn't just strip a Kryptonian of their abilities...it kills them instantly.

Nope. Permanently strips their powers.

Wondering whether the stripping of powers is the same as what happened to clark when witchy lana took them from him... he touched the crystal fragment and it was returned... could the stripped kryptonian just go to the FOS and have them returned?!

Also, not too keen on the idea of Earth being a training ground. I don't know many people that could live as a human (on Krypton) and then have superpowers like they possess on Earth, and then return to Krypton...

I think the kryptoiaina that put that thing in the box is Kara and Clark great grandfather.

I'm not familiar with the comics, but on one of the DVD commentaries, that's what the producers said. So I was confused about that, too.

If you're trying to send an SOS, isn't burying it a counter-productive way to do it? Or didn't the Kryptonian bury it?

I think Jor-El being sent to Earth was a one time thing and not all Kryptonians were sent to earth. Seyg-El and another discovered Earth and pretty much kept a lid on their discovery and somehow at least in Smallville's version Zod got wind of it.

It might not be an S.O.S. kara might be lieing or wasn't informed on evertything Kryptonian. It may only resemble the symbol for S.O.S. but not actually be one. And since the center mark is a fragment of the letter "E" perhaps it stands for Earth, as in "Earth is ready for conquest."

The Kawatche encountered a Kryptonian and there was obviously one in China ( perhaps the same person )at one time with Kryptonite or they were remnants of Krypton's lost moon since Krypton exploded more recently. Nothing suggests a boat load of Kryptonians visiting earth.

I was thinking maybe Agent Carter maybe a Kyrptonian as he was able to open Kara's Ship to get the Crystal. Gold Kryptonite could eaplain his lack of powers.

I wonder if this is leading to the Survival Zone. That pendant reminded me of Jor-El's. I'm guessing it contains a memory of Zor-El's or a message that may allow Clark/Kara to see the final moments of Krypton.
