Well actually it is different, I kinda like what Al said, they try to be together now, but realize that it will not work. They both have differnet callings in life. It reminds me of a relationship I had once, and we bacame great friends. I think that this pushes the story forward once and for all!!

Another season of lana? No thanks., we have been enough with 6 seasons of tourtuose clana. I think that this is going to be for me: Bye bye forever Smallville, if the clana returns all this season then I definetely will stop watching SV, but while I better turn off the TV while she appears and I won´t watch the episodes where she be the main character (I hope there´s none):D

The reason I think it will work this time is because before, Clark was afraid to tell her because he felt responsible for her familys death, then when he over came that she died. Now that she found out on her own, and has kept his secret in the Lions den and did not die he can come completely clean. The moving the story forward is that fact that she decides that his calling is much great than hers and she can't go with him. He has to go he knows it and she pushes him to go, and stay great friends. In essence she is his first love. It helps him grow to maturity. Maybe but knowing Almiles they are not going make it easy ...despite Lana NOW knowing the his secert...there is something that is GOING to tear them apart and I would rather have Clark and Lana part mutually instead Of Lana scraficing something so that Clark CAn move on toward his destiny... I would Clark himself to decide and not because HIS relationship with Lana was not meant to be..

The character Lana is so badly written that i have no compassion for her nor do i relate to her in any way...Lana is just a waste of screen time and film that Lois..Chloe..Shelby..and even Clark would be more entertaining to see...Nope she is the same person returning only this time her true colors comes to the surface..she is not capable of hiding them any more..I guess she and Lex have more in common than she thinks...or want yo believe..only time will tell...

I got an idea about Lana's return.

She goes to the Kent farm to surprise Clark that she will help him run the farm and OMG the tractor needs fixing. Then Lana attempts to fix the tractor the tractor has the keys and they accidentally turn on the tractor and then the tractor runs over Lana. Unfortunately, Lana resembles a pancake when Clark comes to the rescue.... YUM breakfast is served!!! :p

Oh, and if we did not happen to catch their subtle manipulations in trying to make Lana be the saint in all this, she and Clark were drinking lemonade, awww. She must be a good girl if she drinks lemonade dressed in a white good-girl top. Oh, and let's not forget she was baking Clark an apple pie when she invited her ex husband into his house while he wasn't there.

Oh, and she wants to grow old with Clark...awww, how cute. They'll stay on the farm and raise a family while living off of Lex' 10 million dollars. Isn't that just the perfect ending?

Let's not forget how high and mighty she was towards Lex when he offered her money. "Oh, Lex you are just an evil bastard and I don't want you stinkin money." She doesn't want to have anything to do with the Luthors, well if that is true she should give back the 10 million dollars she stole. Since when does a person need 10 million dollars to start a new life? Maybe if you are Paris Hilton...or Lana Luthor for that matter.

Lana (and Kristen) can definitely act and even Kara likes Lana. KK knows how to show something warm in her eyes which some lesser skilled actors and actresses can't do. It was a very sweet reunion and it keeps lois 'out in the cold' from ClarkMan.

Lana time has to play out and twice in the last couple of weeks it has been mentioned that humans are going to grow old and die and it must be sinking in with ClarkMan that as good as his current relationship with whomever human female it is, it is transient and she is destined to grow old, if lucky, and die. Might as well enjoy Lana and this first and longest love affair of ClarkMan's life.

I think they can make it work, atleast as well as they can befor Clark continues the superman journey. I think it will last this time for a good solid while. I liked the way the PTB played the Lana and Clark reunion, it wasn't sappy, drawn out or cheesy...just simple. If you "fans" hate Clana so much, then why do you continue to watch Smallville. I'd say at least 60% of each episode is devoted to Clana in some shape or form. That hasn't changed in six seasons. It's probably not going to change in the last two. How is it enjoyable to you to watch a show in which you clearly dislike the storyline? Lana's not a saint, okay, so what. Nobody on the show is a saint. If the two of them are happy, then fine. What's the biff? Oooh Lana took 10 million dollars, so what? Good for her. Khyla, I can't believe we agree 100%. Lana is a character that is known to act OOC. But this was the most OOC moment I have ever witnesed on the show. Ever. WTF? I think we are deffinetley getting canceled. I haven't even heared any positive feedback about this even from Clana fans, except that they are happy she is back.

well for one thing thats embezzelment a class a felony which can have her doing serious crime. but of course since she's lana she'll get away with it. If joe blow from cocamo did that they'd be put under the prision for the rest of their life.

Yeah. I think maybe the writers are tryin to go with making Lana into the "little Miss Suzy Homemaker" now. :\ That would be a way they can produce the angst between them after Kara's intelligent words, telling him he's fooling himself if he thinks he can grow old on the farm with Lana.

My point is that it should have started and ended earlier. It should have been written properly and carried out to a logical conclusion.

If they'd done this, it doesn't mean she'd have to have left the show. She'd just need something to do.

It has been told many times, Clark goes away to fullfill his destiny and become Superman, and Superman not being with Lana is not b/c Lana thinks she is dead. No man wants to deal with that high school angst anyway. He moves on to bigger and better things.

The problem with Lana is that when she is good, she is very, very good and really attractive and likable. I would hope that 'they' have changed her instanteous change of personality to a harpie syndrome and gone beyond that. There is no reason why Lana and ClarkMan can't discover that either his destiny or their personalities/values, whatever are not really a match and move on without angst or hurt but keep the good memories. That may be asking too much of TPTB of Smallville.

hmm idk maybe i am defintaly in the younger catagory... I thinks its that everywho is a teenager and young adult likes clana becasue of the fact that, i myself watched smalville for the first time last year, i didnt know anything about superman, and I got hooked on smallville but then i got to the 4rth season and was like Lois Lane? And I rented the Superman Returns Movie and starting digging into it all and found out Lois and Clark have a relationship, so I went with my initial feeling Clana... And everyone who saw superman first goes with the old classic Clois, so yeah I do think age group matters...

Totally. I don't like Clana, but I was hoping Lana's return would at least make for a interesting story. I found myself bored through most of the episode. I was let down after watching Kara last week which was much better IMO.

The only thing that gave me a glimmer of hope was Kara's conversation about Clark not being able to just stay on the farm and grow old with Lana. Lana's mention of them growing old together already sets up the problems the relationship will have as Clark hopefully steps closer to his destiny.
