So did Sylar get Candace's power or not?

I'm not sure he did because he wasn't able to use it. Poor guy didn't even seem to actually understand what her power was anyways because he seemed to take her at her word that he could just go poof! and suddenly be in another country. If he really understood how her power worked, he would have known that all she could do was illusions.

Once Sylar has recovered, im sure he will have absorbed her abilities.
But if he does, he would no longer need to absorb powers would he? He could simply create an illusion where he is a God and the most powerful being in the universe.

I would say it was the company, yes. That is who Candice was working for last season, and they were very interested in Sylar, controlling him. It appears without Linderman they have to heal people the old fashioned way.

But think about it: maybe he was tricked into thinking he did get her power......All I know is: so far, we've always seen plenty of blood and open skulls when Sylar took someone's power. But not this time. Why? There must be a reason, IMO.

When he first took a power, TK, he bashed a guy in the head with a crystal. It's a different process without the TK.

I'm glad my boy is back, but his impatience ruined it. I don't think he has his powers any longer. Being impaled by a sword and being snatched from death placed him in reset mode, and the injury is prohibiting him from gaining any new powers as of yet...

Or, he just can't concentrate on his new illusionary power until he is fully healed... either way, I'm glad that heffa is gone.

Candice said that she would help him 're-obtain' his powers... I wasnt sure how he would reobtain them though since he killed all the victims he got his powers from so its not like he could go back and ask for them again... Unless she could somehow make an illusion of the person he got the power from and killing them again and taking a poke at their brain would help him understand how to use them again.

If Sylar was infected with the virus then he wouldn't have been able to use his TK ability to saw off Candice's head to obtain her ability. If he couldn't do that then he would have wondered what was going on before he couldn't use Candice's power right? I know I definitely saw blood on his hands though right before he tried to use her ability but her head seemed to be intact, which struct me as odd.

He didnt use his TK to saw her head off, he used a broken shard of a cup or plate or something. I think he assumed she was somehow preventing his power usage. Oh, and welcome to the message boards, gregory!

But didn't they say if you're infected with the virus you don't loose the powers completely, at least at first? You just can't use them all the time, whenever you want. Some kind of temporal loss. That would explain why Sylar would have his powers when killing Candace, and not having them the very next moment, no?

I guess that makes sense because he knew he couldn't use his TK to move the cup earlier in the episode. So he knew he would have to use other means to get into her head. She told him that he lost all his abilities and that "they" would help him aquire them back. Then he made the comment right before he killed her saying that he would start the aquistion process with her.

Watch it again. He was definitely using Eden's voice of persuasion before he killed Candace.

We know that he doesn't have Eden's power, she killed herself before he could scalp her. I think it's just a creepy voice used for dramatic effect.

Also, I don't think he got the power (Candace's). It would, as someone mentioned (the God thing), make him to powerful. He could just project an illusion and take over the entire world.

This is just a theory, but I think that Sylars powers aren't working because he's still living in an illusion. I don't think she trusted him enough to drop her guard like that and him killing her was just another illusion.

we all seem to forget after he killed her, she looked like she did in the online comic, so to that effect that is the real her, the overweight girl, if he was still in an illusion, she woulda kept herself looking as she was with the red hair. i mean sylar had no idea what she REALLY looked like, even if she changed into a different looking girl after he "killed" her, no need to go to the form she was trying to hide the whole time. so, yeah, i think its real and shes dead and hes in a jungle with monkies lol
