That's a very good question.I think he can save his father but,the question would he risk it?Time-travelings can have dangerous consequences.Look when he went to save Charlie(the genius girl)he didn't know she was sick and she was going to die anyway. So,if he saves his father then what?Someone else will have to die instead or there could be more desastrous catastrophies.

Screw that if my father died im going to do what ever to try to get him back if i can travel through time if that means i have to teleport and grab the guy before he pushes him off the building ill do it.
and if that is the case what is hiro doing now... in the past changing history right

I really hope he will. I love George Takei. They should use him again on the show, IMO.

It's not so much about going back in time to save his Dad, but going forward, since Hiro's still in the past. Theoretically, there's no reason why Hiro wouldn't return to the same time he disappeared (Sylar's 'death'), which would be before his Dad's death.

I dont think it's the question of wether he really can do it or not...it's more of will he do it or not? It will be quite a few episodes I think before Hiro may even return to the future, and in that time, things may come up where Hiro could jepoardize way to much for him to save his father. It's pretty sad, but thats how these time traveling movies/shows usually work.
Just because you can time travel..it doesn't always mean you can just go back and right a wrong..the consequences are usually grave.

Well, i am going to reference smallville. Clark went back to save lana and then his father dies.. there is always going to be some kind of compensation when someone is supposed to die..
Have you ever seen final destination? haha.

I am sad to say that I highly doubt this will happen. It just doesnt seem like somthing this show would do and if he does then Im sure Ando or someone will end up dead as a result....

Agreed..I just don't see it happening. I see, Hiro wanting too, but a reason coming up why he can't or shouldn't.

I dont know... Hiro's Dad just seemed to have been killed off too easily to me, especially since he was kind of a major character.

Some would say that Hiro shouldn't save his dad because it would alter history.
Bit Hiro's dad died in an history where Hiro disapeared. Maybe that in the normal time period, Hiro would have been there to save his dad. So in my opinion, Hiro should just come back after he disapeared, and then the next episode we see all the little differences it would have make if Hiro wouldn't have disapear.
That would make one heck of a good episode.

Well Hiro's dad seemed to accept his fate. I believe if Hiro went back and saved his father...his father would in turn see that as disrespectful; in terms of interfering with destiny and all. Also selfish of Hiro.

Actually, the aneurysm developed because fate had chosen her to die. Hiro went back six months to protect her from Sylar cutting off the top of her head. The aneurysm came along long before she was supposed to get the top of her head chopped off. Because Hiro was going to rush her away from Sylar, fate compensated by giving her an aneurysm.
This is the case, because not only was it said in the episode, but Kring said so too.
I'm not specifically picking on you Sweetie, but everyone seems to gloss over the scene when Hiro and Charlie were supposed to leave for Japan.

But,my point remains though. If somebody has to die even if you want to play god,he is going to die anyway.Nobody can't fight destiny.Hiro's dad was very wise man,he knew it was the time for him to go and he made his son understand this also.
No problem...:)
