i dont get it with all the powers that peter posesses why didnt he just take the box instead of doing wat those guys told him to do and take out the guards just to get the boxes?

Did you miss the scene where he couldn't even call up lightning at will? He doesn't know how he's doing it, and it only seems to work when he's in danger right now. He couldn't have just used his powers to take the box because he doesn't know how to use his powers are more than an instinctive level.

What I don't get is why he didn't just open the box when he got it. If you don't like who you were then you can always continue being who you are right now.

I didn't get it either. Why go through all that "BS" to get the box, then just push it to the side to save for a rainy day? Made no sense...I guess getting the girl is more important, than who you really are.:\

I don't totally understand why Peter said he liked himself enough not to open the box. Hasn't he spent most of the last two episodes basically freaked out? Now suddenly he likes himself? No - he was just thinking of getting the girl at that moment. Funny how guys can get so single minded.

Do you think the Irish girl has a power? Is that why she was so accepting of Peter’s abilities?

I agree. I mean just because he opens the box and finds out he's got a VISA card and his last name is Petrelli doesn't mean that he's got to go right home and become a whiping post or something. It just means that he can choose what he wants to do.

The box just tells him his past - not his future - maybe Peter will paint the future at some point and really freak everyone out lol - I mean right now, it seems like he can just about everything one can imagine LMAO - it's awesome but it's gonna suck for Peter when he comes to the point and realizes that he does have a limit. Crash and burn.

I just hope that Peter doesn't wait to open the box when he's had a fight with his new girl.

I think that she just was taken in by the Peter hotness....fresh blood that is not related to her lol......

I'm thinking that the brother might have powers of some kind....not sure about his sister but she's def seen them before and didn't tell her brother so you just never know - be kinda strange for so many of the Heroes to find relationships so easily with other powered people - maybe they can sense each other lol.....

I suppose its like opening Pandora's box. Or in this case..Peters box. He's afraid he is something horrible and once he opens the box theres no going back. But heck, if it were me..screw the irish chick. I'd grab the box and fly away. =D

And yes..I remember that he doesn't remember how to use his abilities or that he can even fly. XD Still..

I think that's it. He knows he could have likely killed the guy with his Jedi choke hold. I'm sure a part of him is afraid of finding out who he really is. And the fact that the brother has put his belongings in this precious box makes his idenity seem even more ominous.

i was in the hospital for a couple weeks so my full attention wasnt on the show. yes shame on me. but how the hell did the irish guy get peters info and where did they find the box

um... or the writers are lame and decided that as soon as petey opened the box he would go home, and this was somehow the most logical way to keep him in ireland. Personally, i would have put something crappy like a credit card or some **** and then have pete be like "whatever, i'm gonna go bang this hot irish chick"

I am very curious to know how exactly they got ahold of Peter's stuff. I guess that mean his clothes and apparently his credit card was not incinerated by the Nuclear Blast? Interesting.

I'll just chalk this up as another point on the "Peter really isn't all that bright, is he?" list.

He's too afraid to open the box since he's afraid it'll be something bad - and in the next breath signs on for a life of crime with the fake accent gang? Hardly something to be proud of.

I'm starting to think Peter is supposed to be stupid - just to show how all the powers in the world are worth nothing if you're an idiot. Makes a nice counterpoint to the way Sylar has obviously thought about how to best use his abilites, though.
