The familycrest might be connected to something, there must be a reason they were sent to get the iPods.

PS:Wouldn't the tattoo stay, the ink would be there, so he couldn't regen' there

It was really weird how it changed and then disappeared. Was it the kiss or the symbol/tattoo?

Tattoos work buy tearing up the skin and inserting the ink... so he healed all that.

That makes more sense - but why the symbol before it disappears? None of his other wounds have done that.

I thought the tat thing was really cool. I was wondering about the tat since they are techincally scare induced.

I wasnt looking at the sreen when it happened... did that 'godsend' symbol show up in his skin as it disappeard??

niki/jessica had the same thing happen with a tat she had when she turned into jessica but it only appeared when she was jessica

That wasnt a really a tat, that was more of a birthmark that only appeared on Jessica.

Yes Patient101 after the chick gave Peter the family tattoo, while they were kissing the tattoo changed into the half helic symbol and then disappeared.

And i too was kind of wondering bout Peter's healing power and how it'd affect the tattoo. So i guess the tattoo is gone? Unless they do pull another Nikki/Jessica and whenever Peter begins to slip into that "i really wanted to kill him" mood has the tattoo flair up cause he's acting all evil or whatever.

I would say maybe he has Sylar in him like Niki/Jessica because he absorbed their abilities...which would be so badass and awesome to watch...but alas, we have already seen Sylar...

If u notice Peter's necklace. he has been with someone who gave him that and i think that symbol represents a person and peter absorbed there power they just havnt shown him yet . cause we have seen the symbol everywhere on the death pictures nikki kensei's sword the tattoo next week will most likely show us.

He absorbed Nikki/Jessicas powers in teh finale last season being around them, same with DL since he used DL's power to get out of the rope cuffs.

His little evil flash while giving the guy the choke hold was his bad/Jessica side coming out for a second, then he got control back.

The tatoo/birthmark disappearing was the clue to this, and it poofed to show he was back to normal maybe?

my theory anyways....

See i don't think bad/Jessica has anything to do with her power, personally. I just thought she was a personality made to help deal with Nikki's horrible childhood and it happened that the power manifested at first whenever Jessica showed up.

well just like the bullet, anything that doesn't belong under peter's skin will be pushed out... the fact that it was disappearing in the helix was just the producers trying to push that symbol on you once again.. We got it already. its an important part.

I love how everyone on the show seems to have a different idea as to what the symbol means. Ando says it means 'godsend', Ma petrelli says its a symbol from her husbands law firm, Suresh uses it as a clever depiction of the double helix since his research is in DNA...

acourding to everything we learned peter shouldnt be able to keep the tat. while he was getting it i was waiting for it to disappear. as for the symbol, as far as we know jessica never got a tat so how did it appear on her? and if she did nikki should have it too, they share the same body after all.
