Why did she seem so upset that Lois got a job at the Daily Planet?
-Was it because Lois would be better because she would put any, even and AI story?
-Was Chloe afraid that Lois might find out about her meteor freak abilities?
Chloe should be the better reporter. I mean in Superman One Perry white says to Clark when he was hired (which Lois told Jimmy in about the same time) " A good reporter don't get good stories. they just make them good". It was something like that.
Usually in this sort of situation I would expect Chloe to Raise he Eyebrows rather than to drop her jaw.

Unfortunately that role and future has already been mapped out for somebody else. Lois Lane.
Which leaves things a bit uncertain for Chloe, since she doesn't exist in the mythos.

But none of the smallville characters will know what will happen in the future.

Why did she seem so upset that Lois got a job at the Daily Planet?Because Lois didn't earn it and didn't deserve it. Guess now she knows how everyone felt when Lionel gave her an internship. Of course she wound up fired, temporarily blacklisted, and worked her way back from that bad decision and earned a second chance. But still, now it's the other way, with her having the earned position and Lois an unearned one.

In answer to the topic question.
I don't think she was upset. Just caught off guard and a little surprised.

I think she was upset that she lost her "number one reporter role" that she thought she was entitled to. She was surprised she got knocked down of her high horse, and she was utterly baffeld that somebody sees Lois' talents because Chloe didn't, and had always treated Lois Lane's journalism with condescention.

Lois Lane was working for a tabloid fit for 'lining catboxes' in Prototype. Chloe may simply think that Lois is capable of writing sensational tabloids that amount to little more than yellow journalism, while Chloe is a more accomplished & experienced reporter above tabloid cat box liner articles.
