Haha! That would have been a great line. You are absolutely correct.

keep it simple for the viewers to understand and yet at the same time satisfy the nutshells like us. too many references can ruin a show imho.

Eh, no offense but I find that line completely cringeworthy. Kara had no reason to need to know about Bart and it would've been such obvious fanservice just to throw it in there.
