Did anyone elses heart just melt at the beginning when Clark told lois he is leaving. She actually looked upset. OHH god !!! It she tried to brush it off like by saying she wouldn't have anyone to bug but u know she would really miss him. I LOVE IT! I'm just so mad that Lana has to come back next week and ruin it all. Seriously, LANA you have ur freaking turn. It is time for Lois. OH And I'm soooo happy she is working at the Daily Planet. SO AWESOME!

Ditto:D I also thought he was kind of amused in a puffed up peacock kind of way. It looked like had this little smirk in his smile. I thought it was cute and funny.:)

That was the cutes thing. I loved it, she was upset but tried to hide it. He was surprised and pleased she cared. Awww...Clois. This shows once more how cute and lighthearted they are together. It wasn't an angsty moment and he can only have that with Lois.

You know what I was thinking the other day when I watched "Exposed"? When Lois threatened to expose Clark's flood light, I thought that she must know a part of him that the other two women on the show have not seen and possibly never will see. I mean, she might not know his secret and be his confidant like Chloe, she might not know him on an intimate level like Lana...but the other two never saw the little tings that are very privata to a person and that you don't really share with anybody because those things seem trivial but are a small intimate window into your personality. What I'm talking about are the little personality traits, quirks and personal daily rituals only the people who live with you see. I mean, Lois knows his breakfast rituals, she saw him in the mornings or middle of the night in his pjs and with morning hair. She knows things like if he brushes his teeth before or after breakfast. She knows if he likes to cover himself with a blanket while watching a movie. She knows what he does to unwind after a long day. Little small details people only find out about eachother when they live together. And not to mention he knows those things about her, too.

"...sometimes I think you don't know me at all, and sometimes I think you know me better than anyone..."

Aw, what a nice post. I never thought of those things before. But it makes sense.

Yeah, I loved that scene in the beginning. We're getting a lot of Cloisy goodness so far. (However, it looks like we'll be back to our regularly scheduled Clana next week.)

I thought it was cool that Lois actually admitted she'd miss him. She didn't have to do that. And I love that he feels like he needs to protect her. :D

Not the way I see it... Geez... You could just NOT read this thread...

By the way, clana will DIE... :D

I love the clois scene... They love to banter but we all know they care for each other... And for a zillion time, I'll say this again... Erica and Tom are great doing scenes with each other...

Loved that scene, you could definitely tell she was surprised and sad that he was leaving. Oh and her quote went with her reaction "Wow didn't see that coming" She was totally holding something back. Also the scene when they got back to the Talon, OMG. The look on Chloe's face when a dirty Lois and Clark walked in was hilarious. I totally know what she was thinking and Clark's cover up didn't help much either. "Like I said you slipped in some mud and hit your head on a rock, I was there to help you up that's why I'm all dirty too" Ok made its just me that has a dirty mind.

But seriously he really does care about her and that was evident in both scenes. Like I always say Facial expressions are everything in Smallville.

Great little scene. He wanted to say good-bye to her. Aw..

What I found to be shocking while watching this scene is how good their relationship has been written. They couldn't stand each other at first and through the last 3 seasons they have progressively gotten to be closer friends, with some deeper feelings getting mixed up in there. It is quite a surprise how well this has been accomplished, considering it is Almiles who run the show. LOL

I love Clois and Clana, but I was happy to that Lois would be a little upset if Clark left. That's my favorite part of show when Clark and Lois interact with each other. The smirk on his face was so cute at her reaction to what he said.

Clark and Lois are good friends without all the stupid drama and the scene shows that perfectly.

That was one of my favorite parts of the episode. I thought it was played brilliantly. The look on Lois' face was perfect.

I dont know exactly how Lois comes from Goodbye to 'couple'?I do understand the forshadowing but in this particular scene Lois apparently needed a reality check. The scene made her look very self absorbed.JMHO

Yeap it was a really good scene, the reactions from both parts were really good.

That's why i enjoy so much those light but yet significant moments, a smile a gesture says a lot and since Tom is really expressive and sometimes Erica too the scene came out really well.

Thye showed that they care big deal about each other in their own way......trully forshadowing cause Clark and Lois are not the "overdosis of sugar" couple in the future

Yeah, it was definitely a very cute and entertaining moment. That's also exactly why Clark fits a lot better with Lois then with Lana. With Lana, everything seems to end up in serious angsty drama, but Lois is just cool and can take things lightly while still being serious.

Anyway, I don't think Clark would run straight into Lana's arms the moment he sees her. I think (and hope...) that he'll be at least a little angry about the pain she caused him and everyone else by faking her murder.

He said to Lana that model 503 wasn't even alive, but if that were the case, if she was just a failed experiment then why would Lex keep the clone around? It doesn't make any sense...unless it's another example of the twisted obsession Lex Luthor has in regards to Lana.

i loved the look in lois' eyes when clark said goodbye, it was good writing.
I would love to see more clois moments.
I think lois is fun to watch and when she spars with clark its amusing. Cause you know lois loves to tease clark. Its great.

This was exactly perfect. Not too much, not angsty, not too many needless words. A few looks, a smile and that is all that is needed with Clois...

Clois moment was really perfect and can only hope we get many more.

That was SUCH a priceless cute scene. I remember what a pleasant tizzy we all got into after Zod's hand-holding scene last season; this season has begun on an even more heartfelt note for the two of them. It was great to see the Bizarro comfort hug; and here in Kara, what could be sweeter than Lois' genuine simple regret that Clark should leave Smallville?

My, have we come a long way from "Devoted"! :) In a way Lois and Clark have come full-circle from their first meeting and leave-taking. That time Lois punched him and threatened to return while Clark complacently watched her go. It's funny, because in a sense Lois is the more demonstrative of the two (despite her gruff exterior).

Clark's teasing "I'm surprised, Lois. I thought you'd be happy to get rid of me" (or whatever he said) was delivered more gently than his usual needling but there was a little triumph there as well. He realized that he'd already gotten to Lois' vulnerable side.

Don't you mean that was good acting by Erica? Though I agree the writing was just right as well.

I also agree wholeheartedly that it's fun to watch Clois banter. Not only does Lois love to tease Clark to a ridiculous extent, but so does Clark. I always remember the time he grinned into the camera when Lois stepped into dogpoop behind him. (S4, Krypto?)

Wasn't that great? It was so cute and unexpected that Lois had to teasingly remark on it. "You can't break up with me, Clark. We're not even a couple."

It was great to see Lois in her more mellow mood towards Clark (in honor of Lana's death). Her concern over his joining her investigation instead of getting comfort with Cloe was nicely and naturally done. Lois has such a maternal side (as seen in "Lucy" esp. and towards Chloe all the time).
