I didn't see any problems with the flying effects, the one with Kara flying above earth was REALLY well done, surprised me.

The flying effect was great and then the S crystal, that was great. That was Supergirl. The rest...was just Kara.

I really enjoyed the flying effects. i thought they looked fantastic especially the scenes where Kara was hovering above earth( when Kara stopped up in space the slight drop she did so that her hair went up a little, looked great(reminded me of brandon routh slowly moving towards the earth in Superman Returns, so that his cape didn't look so stale in the movie). The other scene I enjoyed was Kara flying gracefully to her spaceship and floating above it later on in the episode.

I thought they did a very good job with the flying effects. For a show that everyone says has a low budget, I thought they pulled it of way better than most anything else.

What are you talking about? The effects were awesome! I actually think the Smallville effects were done much better than in Heores.

Some of them weren't that great, some of them were awesome. I think they're pretty much identical to Heroes, only they show her floating some instead of just taking off and streaking around the whole time. I especially liked the flying scene where she went into space and was holding the crystal.

people just never seem happy with what they get every1 has been screaming out for flying scenes, when we get them people are still not happy

TPTB are doing the best they can with the limitations they have set upon them, besides theres more than 1 alien this season that can fly so excuse TPTB for not giving us a superman returns flying effect

I agree 100%. On heroes, half the time you can't even really see the person that's flying. It seems to be all cg. I've always thought smallville was the tops when it came to flying, speed, and strength. I actually like what they do on smallville better than what was done on superman returns.

the effects were good, considering their budget. the thing i thought was a little off was the lighting. when kara was floating above earth, the angle of the light shining on her looked a little more artificial than it should have...agree/disagree, anyone?

The only flying scene I had a problem with was the first one. It just looked very awkward for Kara to take off like that, everything else after that was perfect, though.

Heroes has some shoddy work... "Smallvilles" effects are way well done.

I loved the shot of kara flying off in ep 1.

Of course Heroes has a bigger budget than Smallville, they're on a major network and they have a fairly large viewer base. Just watch the episode 'Company Man' to see how big of a SFX budget they have.

Yeah the flying effect was horrible and cheesy in "kara", it's NOWHERE near season 4 where kal-el pushed Martha Kent onto the ground and BLASTED off into the sky!! That kal-el scene was superb!!!!!!!!!!

Naw hereos is a little better you know why, it's because you can actually see them flying, on here their moving to fast for the human eye to see, now i'm not saying that has been the case each and everytime, like when clark was trying to catch Lex jet, that was beautiful, and perfect, and you could actually see him flying. Any other time its been in a blink of an eye. Like me. flying in the blink of an eye.

Well when they are flying it is supposed to be very fast. I agree the Kal-El scene in s4 was the best flying scene ever
