I'm an American. This is an American show. Why are you Canadians given the opportunity to see the show FIRST?!?!?!

I'm sure they did it to spite you specifically.
C'mon, the show is shot entirely in Canada. Every plot-hole filled moment of the show that we can't seem to help but enjoy is filmed with permission from the Canadian government to shoot this "American show" in their country. LOTS of shows do that, including Heroes I think. I'm not surprised that, for once, Canada asked for an extra perk.
By the way, I'm not Canadian... I'm squirming/waiting just like the rest of us US citizens.

ALRIGHT! This is my problem which I'm venting to HOLLYWOOD...including Smallville.
The DARK KNIGHT (the sequel to Batman Begins) was filmed in good ol' USA, specifically my hometown, CHICAGO. Thank God Christopher Nolan didn't "sell out" American labor like Brian Singer who brought us that garbage, Superman Returns and went to Australia. Like Canadians, Australians are cheaper than American labor. But what does that do to jobs for Americans?
I'm disappointed that Hollywood could dictate million dollar salaries to their main stars, BUT....go "Made in Taiwan" on us with the rest of the crew and ship Smallville and other American shows to foreign countries.
I'm appaulled that they didn't film Smallville in like...KANSAS.
I've calmed down...sorry!
OK...may I debunk your argument?
"Oh just because your American doesn't mean you own the world."
I never said that. We did, however, invent Superman (Shuster and Siegel...both Americans), Hollywood, film technology, etc. Yes, Japan just enhanced everything else. We do love your Whisky and hockey. Thanks for Michael J. Fox and other Canadian actors. That means we don't have enough American talent. Come on, Christian Bale is from WALES! Enuff said.
"Calm down it's only in Ontario that Smallville is shown first not all of Canada."
It's still shown FIRST in Canada. Oh well!
"It's filmed in Canada, Lana,Lois Kara are all Canadians so?"
That's a testament to American actors. So sad...
Achannel decided to show it on Wednesday what's the big deal?
"What in God's name is the "A Channel?" Sounds Canadian. I only adhere to ABC, CBS, FOX, WB, TNT, TBS, etc.
"Right now our dollar is almost at par so filming and paying the actors is no longer cheap so there has to be another reason for them to keep filming in Canada."
Here is the bottom line. Sure, they pay Tom Welling top dollar (American or Canadian...hell it could be Euro) because he can't be cloned. So, how do they make up the rest in budget? Go to a cheaper country to film. It's nothing against Canada. It's HOLLYWOOD! And we still pay $$$$ to see Spider-man 3. At least Sam Raimi actually filmed NYC in NYC. What a concept!

OK....NOW YOU ARE GETTING ALL TECHNICAL on me.
Ask a Frenchman who an "American" is. 99% of the world would say, "United States Citizens" are Americans. You guys are Canadians.
Yes, there are "North Americans", but they may not necessarily be American or Canadian. If you use the term, "North American"....that's different than saying you are an "American".
I'm a history teacher. Silly!

AChannel bought the rights to be able to air it on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays. It's not like we're getting a free show.
What does it matter? It's one day. Besides, at least half of the filming of Smallville (set, actors, location) take place in Canada.
As for filming Kansas in Kansas, maybe the way the story is written, there aren't many places where you can film that actually look like Smallville. Maybe BC is a lot easier to film Smallville and Metropolis type cities. I'm pretty sure the FOS is also filmed here. I'm not sure if you can find a place like that in Kansas, the way you can in Canada.
Here's the bottom line. Who cares? I'm sure there's some way you could order AChannel and watch it on Wednesdays. If not, I'm willing to bet it wouldn't kill you to wait until Thursday, like you always do anyway.
It's a TV show.

Okay, I don't usually get involved in these things, but you are incorrect on that one. Superman was actually a joint invention between a Canadian and an American.
"Created by Canadian-born artist Joe Shuster and American writer Jerry Siegel in 1932"

As for the rest of your rant, I won't comment as I don't feel like starting an argument.

I´m not canadian, I´m from Spain, and I can tell you that in Spain an American is someone from the America continent (North and South). The US citiziens are called here "estadounidenses" (it means US citiziens) not American. You call yourself Americans, not the others.
And you are a history teacher???
Well, but this is not the place to argue that, sorry people
i luv tom welling

Let's prevent a war from breaking out. Yes, ONE station in Canada (not even the whole network), broadcasting to the Toronto area, airs the show on Wednesday nights.
