View Full Version : Claire's other power.....
Ok.... so on the rant that Claire went on about what she could be doing with her power.... I think she's the ultimate cure for that virus Mohinder is fighting.... her blood is the only other cure to the virus besides Mohinder's blood.

No...i doubt she's the cure, just saw ep2, her other power is to regenerate severed or missing limbs...damn, like a lizard! She took her healing power to the whole new level!

She did say to Noah that she thinks her blood could be a way to help amputees regenerate, or regenerate an organ.

she just has one power, she can heal. if she could cure people there wouldn't be any lizards left, if you know what i mean
LOL.... uhm no. But I do think that she's not a god or anything - but that she could possibly cure or help to cure that virus......

I don't know...the whole using her power to heal herself in order to heal others seems way too much like when Lionel and them were trying to clone those samples of Clark's blood so as to possibly make cures for liver disease. Plus it might be the same as Clark in that only his body can keep that process going. I mean yeah it'd be an interesting take but who knows.

That's pretty much what I thought of right away when she said that. I went "Claire cure" instead of Clark cure. Heh.
My question is, how the heck did she use scissors to cut her toe off? You'd need like a hacksaw or something, as I highly doubt a regular pair of scissors would be able to cut through the muscle and bone and do it so cleanly. When she did that, I instantly said "Are they trying to be like Saw?"

Those were the heavy duty cast iron type of scissors, I have a pair like that I use in the kitchen, I cut through a T-bone and rib bones quite often.
Yeah...those scissors were pretty sharp and they are heavy duty ones like STFanatic said. You can cut through quite a bit with them if you put some effort into it - which Claire seemed to do......

aw. But I always liked that it was Mohinder fighting for all the 'heroes/special ppl' and using his blood to ward off the virus. I love Mohinder! :D and that's is only super power in a way.

Thanks Randy G. and
STFanatic, been a fan of Smallville since season 1 and of course Heroes from the first episode and also a big fan of Kryptonsite but never thought to join until i saw the Herosite. But anyways back to Claire's missing pinky toe. That's one way to get rid of an in grown toenail. But wait...does Claire get in grown toenails? Oh and another question...is Claire like Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the vampire? Will she never be able to get a different hair cut because it'll keep growing back? Not that i wouldn't mind staring at her and her lovely hair the way it is now forever.

I think Claire may be onto something. Her cells regenerate so... perhaps they could be used to cure disease or whatever. I don't know about this strange disease that attacks only people with powers but... other regular diseases.
I think she could get a haircut if she wanted. lol

Which makes me wonder, can they even draw her blood?
When they insert a needle, would it heal around it?

Wouldnt heal until the needle is removed.

That's true cause the staple Lyle stapled in her hand didn't heal around the staple. Just healed once she pulled it out.

I think Claire's second power is some kind of pain damper. There is now way she could have gone through some of these injuries with no more reaction than wincing.

That could easily be a side effect of her healing powers. When you are injured, especially severely, your brain releases endorphines into your body to conuteract the pain. As a super healer, perhaps she has super endorphines as well...and that being the case, I could see a plotline where she gets kinda addicted to hurting herself just to feel the pleasure of the super endorphines. Plus, she heas so quickly, the pain would pass quickly as well.

I do worry that it seems like she is a "Cutter".
That is a major problem.

Exactly, she definately seems to enjoy causing herself harm, slightly massochistic, but I suppose if you had the ability to heal any wound in moments, you might be that way as well, especially as a teen.

While arguing with her father in the copy shop she did say, "can I even get sick." Just thought I'd throw that out.

I personally think she is the cure. It would be cool if she turns out to be the big hero to save the day in the season finale.

I don't think she is the cure. But isn't it possiable, her mutated blood could infect ordinary humans? Not neccerily help them.

I think most of the "Heroes" will have their powers into a different level...evolution!
