Before it even airs, (and keep in mind I've avoided spoilers so don't hurt me if I'm missing something obvious here) I'd just like to say that this episode should have been the title of a season one episode in which Hiro fulfills Isaac's painting/prophecy by going back in time and facing off against a real (not fossilized) T-Rex.

What is with the random 4 people who voted 1? Are they just haters or what?

I loved this ep. I think this season might even be better than last season - of course that could be because we know the characters and all. I just love the random storylines - they're connected but yet they're all on their separate journey's.

I like that we're finding more about Peter's powers - and how they work with or without him having to remember the person who used them. Of course, that helps to remember how that person used them - but if his body/mind remembers how to use them on their own then that's cool.

Interesting how Claire is testing her powers and how now Haitian and HRG and back together. They made an awesome team. Now all we need is Claude and we'd have the makings of a new A-Team! lmao!

Also liked how the Butler/Bennet family was acting around the house... :D

Loved the continuity and follow through....even from things last season to this season.

But why did shirtless Peter have to put on a shirt? And why a flannel one at that.... clearly he must watch Smallville lol..... I scream in pain every time CK put a shirt on lol.....

Also interesting about how the twin's power works. One is the plague and one is the cure..... interesting.....

The (as of right now) four "1" votes are probably the same ones that head over to the Smallville boards to say how much Heroes "suck".

I loved this episode even more than the last one.

#3 Peter

Personally i loved it. I think it helped make up for last weeks episode not being so great...not saying i didn't enjoy it but that i was wanting more from a season premiere. But there was so much i loved about this one and so many ideas that are running through my head for possible story lines.
1. I loved that Mohinder helped the Haitian and that he came back to Mr. Bennet.
2. That Peter now has DL and Nikki's powers (and who knows what else)
3. Really loved when Mrs. Petrelli yelled at Parkman to get out of her head.
4. Probably my most favorite thing (big geek moment for me) was that Maya and Alejandro being siblings means they both have powers that interact with each other.

But ideas i have or questions is:
1. Is Hiro the son of Angela Petrelli and Kaito Nakamura?
2. Is Kenzie the great great ancestor of Claire?
3. Is the boy who can fly the one who pushed Nakamura off the roof? (iffy bout that one)
4. Was the person attacking Mrs. Petrelli the same one or some else and is his power super speed (since it seemed to be going fast and no one saw him)?
Sorry for such the long post but like i said just some things i loved and ideas i had.

Great episode.

Moments I freaked out the most:

Sark has Claire's power!

Haitian returns!

Claire cut off her toe! And that one kid saw!

That brother and sister duo...is she the source of the plague? That's what I'm wondering. Also, someone in my dorm came up with a theory. Perhaps, Kensei is still alive, and he's the head guy of The Company, and somehow, he and Claire are related. If he keeps healing himself, can he ever really die?

hey - welcome to the boards :) - Those are all great questions - you should start a thread with them :)

1. I don't think that Hiro is related to Peter - I just think that Kaito and Angela got it on once or twice - maybe that lead to some issues with Mr. Petrelli - who knows - hope they expand on that more.
2. I'm not sure if Kensei is related to Claire but that would be a fun twist...... but not everyone can be related to everyone else.... or can they.... to a certain extent - since the writers have said that there are only so many powers right now that are floating around etc.
3. Don't think so.... West is creepy but not a killer... at least not yet.
4. I think it was someone different - as in a few diff minions working for someone else to kill off the 9.

Voted 9. The episode was a solid one. The storylines are filling out nicely.

Learned of Peter's fate. He's really lost his memory and is working for some irish thugs and one of them has a hot sister. I'm sure the job Peter has to help do will end up being connected to the company. Also Peter seemed to have a grasp on his powers now, but If he's lost his memory how does he recall them. Guess it's just subliminal. Still it was cool to see him use them.

Really enjoyed seeing the Hatian return, that was a nice surprise. He and HrG make a good team, can't wait to see them back in action. And that looks to be sooner than later. Issac's paintings make a return and seem to be predicting the deaths of the 9..8? How cool is that?

Who else was freaked out seeing the Peeping Peter Pan stalking Claire? Dude if that doesn't warrant an ass kicking I don't know what does. Seems this relationship is headed toward the trusted friend turned enemy route..DUH! right. I hope not , I'm praying for a twist to happen later on.

Was also nice to see Kensei's reveal as a healing super being. Does this begin to explain his drinking? Guess the guy is freaked out by his gift and is depressed maybe, but I got a feeling Hiro will pull him through. Talk about depressing. Hiro isn't going to like hearing that his father has died and Ando has a real task on his hands in delivering the news.

The Wonder Twins are still running towards the border...or did they make it already? Can't remember. For me that storyline is starting to get boring, its just not moving. Last episode they're running and in this one they're running. So does this mean next week they're running still? *snore* Still no real explaination as to what Maya's power is. Though Alejandro proved to be her savior by steping in and absorbing her power, along with the damage it caused. Just hope by next week we learn a little more of what it is and who their meeting up with.

No real movement in Matt's story other than his involvement in Kaito<sp? murder. And whats up with Ms. Petrelli? She got a power now or did she just know Matt had a power and was exploiting it? I suspect the latter.

Anyways like I said a solid episode. I gave it a 9. From the looks of the trailer for next weeks episode. Nikki and Micah return. WooHoo! Can't wait.

Questions

*Why does Noah Bennet need the paintings?

*Would dying and coming back reboot Peter's memory?

*I wonder if this means that Anders-Kensei will cut out his own heart and regrow a new one when they face the "dragon."

I enjoyed tonights episode. The best part of the story is the Bennett family still. Followed by Hiro in his fairytale. Then it's the wild card, Peter Petrelli and finally Maya and Alejandro. The mysterious person killing the older generation... that's exciting as well.

It really almost feels like the second part of last weeks episode. Everything is pretty much a direct continuation from last week. I'm enjoying Claire in high school, and her burning desire to learn more about her power. West is slowly becoming less creepy. I miss Zach but I hope West isn't evil or related so that he and Claire can get closer. She really needs a friend. However, his eagerness could blow her cover... and his... so... that would be bad.

I liked the way the title wove into the episode. Matt and Mr. Bennett seem very confident in themselves. I worry though... I worry. I worry about Molly also.

Well the fairytale is shaping up to be my fave part of the season so far. I know I said it was the Bennett Family and they are fun... but the fairytale is so... beautiful. The shots are lovely. And there's something so sexy about samurai... they are like knights of the round table. I loved Hiro playing the hero. I loved Sark (Anders). I'm eager to see where this goes. If Hiro can continue to fix things. And it's romance. I'm a sucker for romance. The almost kiss with the falling blossoms... the hand touch between Kensei and the princess. :D

Peter Petrelli rocks my socks. More blue energy coming out of his hands. He can go through things. I can't remember if he was in close contact with D'el last season or not.

Anyway it was a good episode. But I couldn't give it a 9. I gave it an 8. I mean when I think about the very best of last season... when I think of a notch below that... (9) This episode just... it's not a 9 IMO. We are still in the set up phase of the season... and it doesn't have the tension of Season One.

Loved it, gave it a 9/10. The one thing that confused me was Pete being able to use all of those powers without using his main power (i.e. empathy) to conjure up the emotions. Hopefully that and his power boost + amazing control will be explained in Four Months Ago, though.

Eh, I didn't like it much and I'm not really sure why. The only highlights for me were the "wonder twins" and Hiro.

Claire cutting off her own toe was too gross. I almost
shut my eyes.

Too much focus on Claire's family, I guess. Her mom is very...obnoxious to me. It's that voice, it just grates my poor little
ears something awful. Like nails on a chalk board.
And, well, I think HRG isn't the most handsome guy.

Eventhough I'm not much of a Peter fan, it was depressing
to see him get the crap beaten out of him.

I dunno, the episode as a whole wasn't all that exciting for me.
Maybe if I watch it again in a couple days (it's recorded),
I'll feel differently.

Better episode than the first, but as with last year they will probably build up to the finale.
Would have rather had Kensei die and have Hiro be the man of the legend. Will be interesting to see where that goes.
The twins is getting a little boring. I don't see why they spend so much time on them and we haven't seen Nikki and D.L.
One thing that popped in my head from the end of last week:

I think we have seen Nakamura's killer before. I think he and not Sylar, was the one that tried to attack Molly while the feds where holding her. I have to go back and watch that episode to make sure that was the case.

Once again I loved it.

The mystery of Season 2 has totally pulled me in! I want to know who the remaining 8 elder heroes are! I want to know what the paintings look like! I want to know who's murdering them!

Highlights for me:

1) Peter kicking some ass.

2) Claire regenerating her toe back.

3) Mama Petrilli mind-slapping Matt out of her head.

I gave it a 10/10.

I also agree it makes sense that Kensei is Claire's ancestor. Did anyone else think he could also be the one killing the Elder 9?

I give it an 8! I thought the episode was good but still slow. I know it is the beginning here but I am so anticipated a big episode coming. I thought Peter unleashing his powers was awesome and Hiro taking up the guise of his hero was cool. I know this season will rock once it gets settled in.

I think the A stories are supposed to be interwoven with the B stories. So instead of all these little side-stories we really have one or two A stories that seem like B stories at the moment because we can't see how everything connects yet.

They do really need some kind of goal for the Heroes, collectively, to step up and strive for. Bear in mind, though, that they didn't have Save the Cheerleader, Save the World until a few (maybe more?) episodes into the series.

Have to agree with most here....I want an A story so I can look forward to seeing the little connections between the B stories.

The Good
~Hiro - I love him taking on the legend. I feel like seeing him try and stop changing history while dealing with his own things (and feelings for that girl...do we have a name for her yet?)
~Peter - what is the blue electric thing?!?! Oh...and I want to see his box.

The Okay
~Wonder twins - It's interesting to see their powers so dependent on each other, but I feel like they don't need as much screen time as they're getting
~Claire - yeah...cutting off the toe was a little much for me. Plus I'm not a fan of the flying guy. But HRG and that family dynamic is always fun.

side bonus points to Mrs. Petrelli for mind-slapping Parkman

total score 8/10

The wonder twins are getting WAY too much screen time. On the a/b storylines, Heroes didn't really get good last year until the 3rd episode. I'm thinking that a Jeph Loeb episode right now needs to be shown because of last year's brilliant 3rd episode that Jeph Loeb had wrote. The writers, directors, producers have a lot to live up too.

I mean, the thing was born with me!... but cheers to Claire for getting away with the most disgusting thing I've seen this month... also, I'm beggining to wonder on what Kaito said... he said that someone from whithin the group was coming to kill the rest of them...this means that the same dude that attacked him, attacked ma petrelli... and that also means that, if what we saw in Lizards is right...this new bad guy should have multiple powers...cuz it seemed like he was going on superspeed, wasn't he?

"this new bad guy should have multiple powers...cuz it seemed like he was going on superspeed, wasn't he?"

If you look back at Season 1 Episode 3, the killer looks a lot like the guy that was trying to grab Molly at the FBI headquarters. They tried to put it off as being Sylar but Sylar would not have wasted his time trying to grab the girl as he usually kills on the spot. It would make sense that the killer has multiple powers as the invisible man when first hearing about what Peter can do says that he has met someone like that before.

I just hope the wonder twins stay away from Peter and Sylar. I wonder if Alejandro's power is the reverse of Maya's or if he could reverse the effects of any other person's power.

Very interesting.

Its more in the religition side, Jesus' tears or something. I mean, i don't think that the writers get themselves in that kind of stuff but for me it seems that. Even more when Maya started to pray. La llorona is a different thing :)

I imagine if Peter or Sylar got a hold of them as long as they got both powers it wouldn't be an issue. Well, Sylar it might suck for him to get it since it gives him total control over life and death. But for Peter it wouldn't be like getting Ted's power. If he got both twins powers he'd be able to reverse anything he did with it. It'd be an interesting power for a good guy to have, actually. Especially if it's used to make someone not-so-good speak up about any evil plans. Threaten to kill them if they don't talk, then do it, then reverse it and tell them you'll do it again if they don't talk.

I think Pete's character is just enough of an anti-hero to use that power to save the day.
