If readers don’t agree with my version of the actions of the child in this, I’m going by personal experience and not research. Feel free to comment. Warning! Chapter One-If Only I Could Know His Thoughts
“Please. Just let me put on your shoe.” Lana begged as she had been for over fifteen minutes.
Martha stared at Lana empathic with her plight. Martha had learned not to interrupt Lana at times as this. Lana didn’t like it. Therefore, Martha stood back just watching Lana do what she did best. Take care of him.
“Aaaah..huuuhh..AAAa..” The raven haired four year old began to wail. He pushed his wrist to his forehead as his tongue stuck out of his mouth. “Uhhh..uhhh.”
“What do you want, Thomas?” Lana had named him Thomas because she doubted she’d make it through the pregnancy with him. Thus…doubting Thomas. “Say the word or Mommy won’t give it to you.”
“Uhh..Uhhh.” Thomas pushed his wrist into his forehead. He then began to smack his wrist against his forehead harshly.
“Thomas Kal Kent!” Lana grabbed her son’s hand. She forced his eyes to look at her. “I will sit you down in the thinking chair. Now say what you want or you don’t get. Do you understand?”
“Wa..wa..wa.” Thomas smiled. He was proud when words would come from his mouth. “Wat..water.”
“Very good.” Lana rustled Thomas’s hair. “Mommy is so proud of you.”
Martha stood waiting with a glass of water ready for Lana to give her grandson. “Here, Lana.”
“Thanks, Martha.” Lana handed Thomas the glass. “Now let’s get that shoe on. Alicia will be here any minute.”
“I..iss….Isha.” Thomas said proudly as he stuck out his foot. “Isha gggo.”
“Yes.” Lana relaxed with a sigh. Lana’s eyes moistened as she pushed the shoe on Thomas’s foot. “You look so much like your daddy.”
Lana turned as a tear snuck out of her eye. Her son was a spitting image of her husband. However, the boy’s mind was hidden deep within the beauty of the child. Lana was lucky to get even a resemblance of a word from the boy. She worked since he was two trying to get him to articulate what he wanted in some form rather than grunts.
“Guess who’s here. Aunt Alicia!” Alicia walked through the kitchen door. She leaned to kiss Thomas’s cheek. His stare focused on anything but her eyes. “How’s my boy today?”
“Being stubborn as usual.” Lana stood up. “Are you sure I can’t go?”
“I’m positive.” Alicia patted Lana’s back. “He’s so clingy to you, Lana. If you want him to go to preschool. You have to let go a little. He’ll be fine. Don’t forget Kristin is there.”
“Yeah.” Lana laughed. “She’ll definitely look out for him.”
Kristin was Chloe’s and Pete’s three year old daughter. She excelled in pre-school. She was tested high.
“I’ll be there too.” Alicia held out her hand to Thomas.
“I know. I just never spent a whole day without him.” Lana ran her hand through Thomas’s hair again. “Remember pretend today, Thomas. Pretend you’re the size of an ant.”
Alicia smiled knowing that was Lana’s way of making Thomas not show his extraordinary strength.
Alicia loaded Thomas into the car. She pulled away watching Lana in the rearview mirror. She knew Lana would be crying with Thomas going to his first day of preschool. Alicia turned her attention back to Thomas, who was now playing some type of mathematical game on his handheld computer.
Alicia remembered muddling through college without a clue about what she wanted to do in life. When Lana told her that Thomas was diagnosed with autism, Alicia knew her calling. She immediately chose a path in autistic studies. Thomas and other children like him would be aided by her. The intelligence that hid deep inside the child would be sought after by her.
Alicia studied his handsome face. The same face that had caressed Clark’s seemed to be blessed upon the boy. The boy began to rock back and forth in excitement. Alicia couldn’t resist running her fingers through his unruly hair. She loved this child as much as if he was her own.
Alicia pulled up at the school. She inhaled deeply as she glanced at the small boy still mesmerized by his game. “Time to go, kiddo.”
“Mama.” It was the only word that he never stuttered. “Mama?”
“You’re going to try something different today, Thomas. Mommy is going to work. You’re going to school.” She pushed a curl that fell into his face.
He didn’t seem to notice anything. Not even her. But Alicia knew that autistic children may look distant. However, they were there listening to every word said.
Alicia breathed out anxiously as she walked in to the classroom. “Hello, Ms. Dinsmore. This is Thomas Kent.”
“Hello.” Ms. Dinsmore bent down to shake Thomas’s hand.
Thomas stared passed her and rocked on his heels. “Mmmm…Mmmmm.” He hummed.
“He’s missing his mother.” Alicia took Thomas’s electronic game.
“Go play with the others, Thomas.” Ms. Dinsmore smiled. “He’s so cute. He looks just like Clark. Has Lana ever heard from him? I can’t believe the guy skipped out on her when he found out she was pregnant.”
Alicia pulled Ms. Dinsmore to the side. “You as well as every one else knows better. Clark went out one night for take out and never returned. He could be dead for all we know. What we do know is he’d never leave Lana. Not the way he loved her.”
“I’m sorry. There were so many rumors. Lana has dedicated her life to that boy. I wish Clark was here to help her through this.” Emily regretted her earlier words. Everyone had seen Lana and Clark dedication to each other. They’d seen a lot of Lana’s and Clark’s dedication. On big screen no less.
“So.. I hear Whitney will be coming home for good.” Alicia changed the subject.
“Yes. He plans to marry me on his return. How’s Oliver?” Emily placed some crayons on each of the tables.
“Great. We are celebrating two years together. ” Alicia giggled.
Her laughing was interrupted by a small child crying. He lay at the feet of Kristin and Thomas.
“Thomas!” Alicia ran up. “What did you do?”
Thomas stood staring into space. Ms. Dinsmore helped the crying child to his feet and wiped his tears on a tissue.
“He didn’t do nothing, Ms. Alicia.” Kristin placed her small chubby hands on her waist. “I did.”
“Oh. And why did you do that?” Alicia could have sworn this child was Chloe’s clone.
However, it was attitude only. She looked nothing like Pete or Chloe. But her unique beauty was the beautiful mix of dark skin, blue eyes, and soft raven hair. But her attitude was all Chloe Sullivan.
“He called Tommy stupid.” Kristin’s lip jutted out and began to quiver holding back tears. “Tommy isn’t stupid. He’s really smart. And he’s my best friend.”
“I know, Sweetie.” Alicia embraced Kristin. “But you don’t have to protect Thomas. Okay? He’ll make friends. But as long as he has you. He’ll be fine.”
“Okay.” Kristin sniffed. “Come on, Tommy. Sit with me. It’s almost story time.”
“Shew.” Alicia sighed. “Here we go.”
Thomas just stared ahead rocking. He listened to the book as he bit his lip. “Hmm..hmmm.”
“Thomas, the others can’t hear if you hum.” Ms. Dinsmore said sweetly.
Thomas continued to rock and hum. Alicia touched Thomas’s arm. “Sshhh.”
“Let him read.” Kristin spoke up. “Tommy can read really well. His mommy taught him.”
“Oh. Can he now?” Alicia winked at Ms. Dinsmore.
“He can.” Kristin took a book from the shelf. “Will you read for me, Tommy?”
Thomas looked up with a smile. He took the book. “Once upon a time in the land of Og.”

“Are you still worried?” Chloe touched Lana’s shoulder.
“I think I’m just missing him. I just wish I knew what he was thinking.” Lana placed a cup of coffee in front of Chloe.
“You don’t have to serve me coffee.” Chloe shook her head. “Lana, I gave you this job as secretary not as my personal go for.”
“I know. I just want to stay occupied.” Lana sat down at the desk. “I miss him so much.”
“Why do I have a feeling you're no longer talking about our precious Tommy?” Chloe touched Lana’s hand.
“I’ll keep waiting. If it wasn’t for Thomas.” Lana blinked her eyes trying to compose herself. “I’d not make it. I just feel like I’m muddling through life barely keeping my head above water. Sometimes, I feel guilty for not telling him about my pregnancy.”
“But you knew he’d stay if you told him.” Chloe took a sip of her coffee. “Or is that what you wish you’d had done?”
“Of course, I think about it. But without him leaving to train. I knew this world would face a lot worse times. I couldn’t allow his and my child to grow up in a world that dangerous. I wasn’t only sacrificing our love for the world. I was for my own child. I’m not as noble as you think.” Lana blinked twice. “Sometimes, I wish I had still told him of our child. I guess because I’m sure he’d have stayed.”
“I knew you were sacrificing for your child and the world.” Chloe sat back. “So what did Dr. Klein think about Thomas’s going to school?”
“He said that it would be good for him.” Lana leaned on her elbow. “He also thinks that his autism comes from mine and Clark’s DNA not being compatible.”
“That’s ridiculous. You know that Isobel was a descendant of a Kryptonian. So are you and the Kawache people.” Chloe rolled her eyes. “There’s not always an explanation of things. Life happens. He’s a great kid.”
“Yeah. He is.” Lana scrunched up her nose. “I just wish Clark could meet him. I guess I didn’t expect he’d be gone this long. I miss him more every day.”
“Knowing, Clark.” Chloe winked. “He misses you more.”

first off...thanks for posting the sequel..I know you're very busy and we appreciate it....
It's so sad that Lana's child is autistic....but, Chloe and Pete's daughter is very cute protecting thomas
It amazes me how all the busy buddies are always second guessing lana all the time....
I can't wait for Clark to come back.....

Part Two-Visit to a Grave
“Hi, Aunt Nell.” Lana placed the bouquet of fresh flowers on the tombstone. “I miss you. Your little Kal is doing fine. He still doesn’t talk much. Dr. Klein says he’s highly intelligent. Just withdrew in himself. He’s still convinced Clark and my DNA fused wrong.” Lana sighed as she rubbed the letters on the tombstone. “That makes it sound like Thomas is a mistake. Like he was never meant to be. I get so angry at people pitying me and my son. They don’t see how perfect Thomas is to me. Thanks for listening. Thanks for loving my son.”
Lana placed the new baby in Nell’s awaiting arms. Nell beamed at Lana. “He’s beautiful.”
Jonathan’s arms encircled his wife and his new grandson. Nell’s frail body had taken on some harsh times with the chemotherapy. Nell was willing to suffer just for this moment of holding her grandson. Martha smiled as she handed Nell a receiving blanket.
“He looks just like Clark.” Martha took Lana’s hand. “You did really good.”
“He’s a big guy.” Jonathan said proudly. “Just like your grandpa. Huh? Fella.”
“Look at all that hair.” Alicia stood in the door with her new boyfriend, Oliver Queen.
“He’s got a full mop head just like Clark.” Lana beamed. “He’s so chubby.”
“Are you breastfeeding? Because if he’s anything like his daddy, he’ll be latched on to those things forever.” Chloe ran her finger over the baby’s cheek.
“Chloe!” Pete stated with embarrassment.
“Good Lord, Pete.” Chloe chuckled. “I meant he’d be eating a lot. Get your mind out of the gutter.”
Oliver laughed at the banter of his new found friends. He’d never met Clark Kent. Those that spoke of him including Alicia, seemed to admire him. Oliver found it strange considering the guy seemed to have deserted his very young pregnant wife.
“Nell, I want to name him Thomas.” Lana giggled at the reason for that name. Doubting Thomas from the Bible. “I’d like you to pick his middle name.”
“Me!” Nell looked up overjoyed at the prospect. Her head was wrapped in a bandanna to hide her baldness. Her skin had become as leather do to the burning chemotherapy treatments. But at that moment, holding the newborn baby in her arms. She had been given an honor of helping name him. So she felt like a queen. “Kal.”
“Kal?” Jonathan laughed as he ran his finger over Thomas’s chubby leg.
“After his daddy.” Nell winked. “I liked Kal.”
“We all liked Kal.” Chloe jutted up her eyebrows.
Alicia, Chloe, and Pete had met Kal a few days after Clark was given the stone. Ultra sexy wasn’t even close to words for him. He was similar to Clark on red meteor rock minus the drug effects.
“Now you get your mind out of the gutter.” Pete tapped his chest. “Fiancé here! Not to mention, my child there.” Pete tapped Chloe’s stomach.
The room filled with laughter as they welcomed Thomas Kal Kent into the world.
Nell died shortly after Thomas was born. It seemed she held on to just see his face. Nell’s last words to Lana were “Thomas Kal is special, Lana. He’s brought more joy into my life than I could have dreamed for.”
Nell’s last request was to hold the baby. Thomas had cried consistently. But when placed in Nell’s arms, he seemed to calm. It was an unspoken bond between Nell and the baby. When she passed, Lana felt another piece of her life being torn away.
Lana allowed a tear to trickle down her face. She whispered. “I love you and miss you.”
“We both do.” Jonathan walked up placing a single rose on Nell’s grave.
“You made her so happy at the end.” Lana smiled at Jonathan. “She loved you for so long.”
“She helped me move on from Martha.” Jonathan bent down beside Lana.
“Is it wrong that I don’t ever want to move on from Clark?” Lana leaned her head on Jonathan’s shoulder. Losing Nell made them have a unique closeness only the two could understand.
“No.” Jonathan encircled his arm around Lana’s shoulder. “But don’t think for one minute that Martha and I would look bad at you for moving on with your life. You’re young. You deserve not to have to wait for the unknown.”
“I’m glad Martha and you worked out your problems after Nell died. I hate to say it but I breathed relief when you went and got her to move in with me a few months after Clark left. You took care of Nell. Martha took care of me.” Lana pushed off Jonathan and stood up.
“Lionel about blew a gasket.” Jonathan chuckled. “However, Clark was out of danger. It was time for Martha to come home. Nell even suggested it.”
“Lionel even left Thomas alone. I think his autism threw Lionel for a loop. He sees Thomas as less than powerful …even less than human.” Lana shook her head.
Many people could be cruel to special children. However, Lionel’s ignorance of Thomas’s special needs threw him off from wanting to over take Thomas.
“Ignorance is bliss in this case.” Jonathan stood up. “Thomas is a great kid. Those that don’t know him are missing out.”
“I know.” Lana smiled up at Jonathan. “He’s my world.”
“I know that too.” Jonathan wrapped his arm around Lana as he walked her to the truck. “But sometimes a mother needs more to her world. You’re so busy taking care of Tommy’s needs. You forget to take care of yourself. Now let’s go home and see what my beautiful wife has cooked up for us.”
“Probably nothing.” Lana chuckled. “I left her with Thomas. He’s a handful after being in preschool. He has to sit still more than he likes there.”
“In that case, let’s relieve Martha from Tommy duty and let the woman cook.” Jonathan opened the door to his truck for Lana.

Part 3-Dreaming of His Touches
Lana warily walked into the house. She could hear Thomas’s screaming from the driveway. Martha stood with her hands on her hips staring at Thomas. He was holding a box of ice cream. His face was a mess as it was covered in chocolate swirls.
“Oh Thomas.” Lana grabbed the box from his hand. “What happened?”
“I told him ‘no’. He threw a fit. I still said ‘no’ until after dinner. You heard him screaming.” Martha pushed back sweating tendrils from her forehead.
“So you gave into him?” Lana asked not showing judgment.
“NO.” Martha said defensively. “But he just picked me up and moved me out of his way.”
“Thomas Kal Kent!” Lana jerked him up. “First, young man, you are going to shower. Then you are going to sit in the thinking chair for a half hour. While we make supper. The last thing you are going to do is tell Grandma Martha ‘Sorry’.”
“It’s okay, Lana.” Martha started to clean up the mess Thomas made.
“NO.” Lana snapped. “I’m sorry. I’m exhausted. But no it’s not okay. Thomas knows how to behave. He just is taking advantage of you. He always does you and Jonathan. He is used to both of you spoiling him. So when you finally stood your ground. He got angry.” Lana turned back to Thomas. “That isn’t going to work in this house! Is it Thomas?”
Thomas cocked his head sideways staring at the ceiling. He frowned as the fact he made his mother angry hit him. He rocked on his heels and began to hum.
“Go.” Lana said with a cracking voice.
“I’ll bath him.” Jonathan could see she was ready to cry. “Come on, Tommy.”
The boy latched onto Jonathan’s hand and walked away. Lana sat at the table. She lay her head down and began to sob.
“Aw. Sweetie.” Martha walked over to her. She caressed Lana’s back. “Just let it out. You’ve earned the right to cry.”
“I miss him so much.” Lana rolled her head on the soft quilted place mat. “Clark could help. Maybe he could reach Thomas where I can’t.”
“Honey, you’ve done miracles with that boy. I’ve heard him read. I remember it took forever to potty train him. But you had him reading words at two.”
“But why can’t he say the words to me? He can read on the level of a7th grader. But he can’t tell me he loves me. Or say things he wants.” Lana sniffed as she sat up.
She heard Jonathan yelling. “Thomas Kal Kent! Get back here!”
Thomas ran bare butt to Lana. He encircled her in his small arms. He nuzzled in her neck with a grunt. Then he let go. Still his eyes never focused on his mother. But his arms remained around her neck. He then walked back to Jonathan. Jonathan shook his head as he escorted Thomas back to the bath tub.
“Seems like he tells you he loves you without words.” Martha stood up. “I’ll make your favorite tonight.”
Lana smiled as she wiped away tears. Her baby loved his mommy. Words weren’t necessary in Thomas’s life when it came to expressing his love for her. But Lana wanted more for her son. She wanted him to be able to look at a friend and say words in a conversation. She wanted him to have everything all mothers wanted for their children. Most of all, she wanted Thomas to say ‘hello’ when he finally met his father.
Lana watched in exhaustion as the family ate the dinner. It was great that Martha had made Lana’s favorite. But working and caring for Thomas was taking a toll on Lana. She smiled as Thomas got up to walk around the table.
“Sit down, Thomas.” She said lowly. “Eat dinner.”
It was this way every night. Thomas would circle the table two or three times between bites. Sometimes, he’d steal food off other’s plates. Lana was adamant about that not happening. However, she did see Jonathan sneak him pieces of dessert when he thought Lana wasn’t looking. Lana allowed this little indiscretion as it made Thomas giggle. He loved being in with Grandpa pulling one over on Mommy. She was strict with the boy. But some things even a Mommy could overlook to see a smile on that gorgeous face.
“Lana, why don’t you allow us to clean up.” Martha noticed Lana’s dark circles under her eyes.
“I’ll clean him up.” Lana stood to get Thomas.
“No. Grandpa promised Tommy I’d clean him up.” Jonathan rubbed Thomas’s hair. “Then he’s going to read to me.”
“Please.” Lana giggled. “Only sports this time. The last time you had Thomas read you the paper, he quoted weather charts for a week.”
“Deal.” Jonathan picked Thomas up and placed him on his shoulders.
“Now, you go get a nice long shower and a good night’s sleep.” Martha touched Lana’s shoulder. “I don’t want to face the wrath of Clark when he returns if we don’t take care of his girl.”
“Thanks, Martha.” Lana walked slowly upstairs. She knew that Thomas had weasled out of his punishment. She was too tired to make sure that he faced it this night.
“Sometimes…” Jonathan sighed. “I wish she’d give up on Clark. She needs to live a life without all this.”
“I know.” Martha agreed. “I love our son. But I love her too.”
Lana heard their words as she stood up at the top of the stairs. She closed her eyes as she made her way down the hall. Lana started the shower and stepped in to the hot spray.
“I’ll never give up on you.” Lana whispered as she pushed her face under the water.
“That’s good.” Clark whispered as he opened the door to the shower.
“Hi.” Lana smiled with a blush. “I knew you’d be here.”
“I’m always here.” Clark ran his fingers across Lana’s cheek.
“You look bigger.” Lana touched Clark’s broad chest.
Clark glanced down. “Really. I thought I was about the same. You are lonely. Aren’t you?”
“Clark.” Lana slapped at Clark’s chest. “You know what I mean, naughty boy.”
“Naughty. Huh?” Clark grabbed Lana around the waist. His lips crashed down on hers as his tongue begged for access to her mouth. He pulled back. “I’ll show you naughty.”
“Please do.” Lana giggled as Clark picked her up to push her against the tile wall.
His body soon was joined with Lana’s. They made love like always. Both enjoying every inch of skin with light feathery touches.
“I miss you, Lana.” Clark whispered.
“I miss you too, Clark.” Lana whispered back.
Lana opened her eyes to the pounding on the bathroom door. She blinked as tears mingled with the water of the shower.
“Lana, Sweetie.” Martha’s voice echoed from behind the door. “Tommy is ready for bed. He insists Mommy put him to sleep.”
Lana turned off the shower. “Okay. Tell him I’ll be there in a second. To go ahead and lie down.”
Lana heard Martha scurry away. Lana dried quickly. She placed one of Clark’s old Smallville High t-shirts on before making her way to Thomas’s bedroom.
Lana crawled in behind Thomas. She brushed back his hair with her hands. Martha and Jonathan stood at the door for a few seconds enjoying watching the small boy relax at the most gentle touch from his mother.
“Mommy’s baby. Mommy’s boy.
Mommy’s angel. Mommy’s joy.” Lana sung lowly in Thomas’s ear. He closed his eyes at his mother‘s made up song.
“I’m your mommy. I’m your girl.
Oh but Thomas…you are my world.”

Part 4-Reunion
“So…” Alicia sighed as she handed Lana the invitation. “Please tell me you’ll come.”
“Why?” Lana peered down as she clutched the yellow paper with red print. “Our fifth high school reunion isn’t a place I want to be. It’s a little early. Isn’t it?”
“Yes. But the only time the restaurant is open for us. Come on, Lana. You have to get out more.” Alicia sunk deep into the loft couch. Lana hadn’t allowed any one to change the loft. It was another reminder of Clark.
“He got his high school credits in.” Lana closed her eyes. “Did you know that? They gave me his diploma even though he wasn’t there for graduation.”
“Lana.” Alicia said uneasily. “ Clark has been gone for five years now. I know you love him. But you won’t be betraying him to just go to the reunion with Jason Teague. He’s been trying to get you to go out with him.”
“I won’t cheat on Clark.” Lana glared at Alicia. ”And I don’t want my former classmates pitying me.”
“I know you won’t.” Alicia spoke up. “I just think going to this can make you feel a little like your old self. And if you look like your old self. No one is going to pity you.”
“What is that supposed to mean.” Lana said defensively.
“It means that you are only Mommy to Thomas. That’s not a bad thing. But wouldn’t you like to just be the beautiful and desirable Lana Lang for one night. Jason knows you’d never give up on Clark. He wants to spend time with you as a friend. He’s a good guy, Lana. What if..”
“What if what!” Lana tossed the invitation at Alicia.
“Okay. I’m your best friend. It is your business that you wait forever for Clark Kent to come back from only God knows where. But as that best friend, I have to ask what every one else is afraid to. What if Clark never returns? Thomas needs more than just a Grandfather that spoils him rotten in his life. He needs a male role model. Because like it or not. Clark’s parents aren’t going to live forever.”
“I’ll go.”
“What?” Alicia stood up startled.
“I’ll go. The Kents want to take Thomas to a special play in Metropolis. It is something they’ve been begging me to do. I’ll tell them to go on our reunion night. Tell Jason.” Lana plopped down. “I’ll go as his friend. Maybe he can be Thomas’s role model. But it is NOT romantic on my part.”
“I understand.” Alicia touched Lana’s hand. “I love Oliver. But I really don’t think I could do what you do. I’ve never seen love this intense.”
“Clark is more than just someone I fell in love with.” Lana sniffed. “He’s my soul mate. Without him, I’m only half of myself.”
~~~~~~~~~~~
Lana stood leaning over the balcony staring out in the distance. “This place is really nice.”
“Yes. It is.” Jason walked up placing his own elbows on the balcony.”
“Listen.” Lana turned to look at him.
“Uh OH.” Jason smiled sweetly. “Here it comes.”
“What comes?” Lana clutched her hands in front of her.
“The part where you tell me you are still in love with your husband.” Jason chuckled. “Am I right?”
“Well. Yeah.” Lana shrugged. “Think about it, Jason. Would you really want to be the guy I moved on to? The one that I chose as second best because my husband was gone too long. The man that always would be compared to him ….and in my eyes came up short no matter how great you are.”
“The man that constantly stood in another man’s shadow.” Jason shook his head. “You’re right. I’d hate that.”
“I know. That’s why I don’t move on.” Lana turned back around to stare at the night sky. “If I could, sometimes I think I want that. But I can’t. He loved me so intensely.”
“Can I ask why he left then?” Jason took Lana’s hand and rubbed it. “As a friend, nothing more.”
“He needed to find his biological parents. I pushed him to go. He didn’t want to. Clark didn’t even know I was pregnant.”
“Oh.” Jason pulled Lana to him. She cried into his arms. “I always thought he was a scared kid that ran from his responsibility. Why hasn’t he returned?”
“I don’t know for sure. I just know that Clark would’ve never left if I didn’t insist. But he needed his past for our future. Being pregnant, I wanted to know about all of Clark. I just fear that the family he found…”
“Do you think they had anything to do with his disappearance?” Jason continued to hold Lana as he comforted her.
Lana wanted to relieve the tension built up. She’d never divulge Clark’s secret. But just playing around the truth would feel good to release. “I think maybe. I just have a feeling from the little I know of Clark’s father. He seemed like a dangerous man.”
“Like organized crime?” Jason couldn’t fathom something like that. But with Lana’s words, it made sense.
“Yeah. Something like that.” Lana pulled away. “I’m going to freshen up. Thanks for the shoulder to cry on.”
“Any time. I’ll be waiting by the refreshments. I saw a cream pie calling my name.” Jason teased.
Lana freshened up and walked back out. She didn’t see pity in every one’s eyes. They all assumed she was moving on with Jason Teague. Actually, a lot of the females seemed more jealous than anything else.
Alicia cocked her head sideways as she danced with Oliver. “Darling husband of mine, quit staring at my best friend.”
“Sorry, Honey.” Oliver blushed. “Lana just looks different out of a pony tail and baggy clothes.”
“Yeah. She’s beautiful.” Alicia leaned in. “I picked her dress. That dark green looks gorgeous on her. Tight fitting is the best for her petite body.”
“Oh I agree.” Oliver teased his wife.
“Better not agree too much. Or you will be sleeping on the sofa.” Alicia jokingly warned.
“Did I say how gorgeous you look tonight?” Oliver pulled her close to him.
“Much better, Mr. Queen.” Alicia threw her head back as she laughed. “Look at Emily shaking her finger at Whitney. He has been staring at Lana all evening. He’s so gonna get yelled at after this party.”
“Ian Parsons can’t keep his eyes off her.” Oliver nodded to Ian.
“No. He’s been known to really notice her. I always wondered if he kept a tape of her when he was young. Kind of gross. But he is a sicko.” Alicia laughed.
“Well, the only guy that really has been staring non stop is the guy in the corner. He keeps himself hid. I kind of feel like asking him his problem. He hasn’t moved out of the shadows for a half hour. I think I should get security. He might not belong here.” Oliver whispered.
“Where?” Alicia turned to stare in the dark corner of the room.
“Near the balcony.” Oliver subtly pointed. “I didn’t even see him walk in the front door. All I saw was when Lana and Jason walked in. He came from the balcony shortly after. But he hasn’t entered in any further. He may be a stalker of some kind.”
“Oh My Gosh!” Alicia grabbed her mouth.
“What?” Oliver could see the fright in Alicia’s eyes.
Before he could say another word, the tall man walked out of the shadows. The crowd hushed as he pushed through. Alicia and Oliver allowed their eyes to follow him. Chloe bustled up to Alicia along with Pete. Whitney grabbed Emily pulling her to him.
Lana was giggling as she spoke to Jason. She stopped when she felt a weird sensation run along her spine. She turned slowly. As if time stood still, Lana stared. The whole room stared with her.
“Clark.” Rolled off her lips in almost a silent whisper.
Clark never said a word as he made his way towards his wife. He was dressed in all black as if he was ready for the formal affair. Clark was bigger than when he left. More muscular and perhaps an inch or two taller. He stood at a menacing 6’ 4”. His well defined body could be seen through his tight clothing. Gasps were heard throughout the room. He stuck out his hand and gently pushed Jason away from Lana. He ran his finger across her cheek.
“I’m home.” He whispered huskily before Clark’s lips crashed down on Lana‘s.
That was incredible. The way that Clark came back. That Lana still had hope for his return. Clark's return was well worth the wait. Please keep them coming.
Part 5-Watlzing Back
Clark broke the kiss. He licked Lana’s lip teasingly before pulling her towards the exit.
“Excuse me.” Jason grabbed Clark’s arm. “Clark is it?”
Clark turned around peering up and down Jason. “Yeah. It is.”
Jason noticed Clark‘s threatening demeanor. So he let go of Clark‘s arm. “Perhaps, you should let the lady take a breath before you pull her away from the party. Lana hasn’t been able to enjoy her friends for years.”
Clark turned to Lana. She seemed baffled. She stood as if she was in a complete daze. Clark made a quirky grin before turning back to Jason. By this time, Jason was surrounded with Ian, Whitney, and Oliver. They didn’t understand how a guy could just come waltzing back without explanation. Then decide to just take his wife no questions asked.
Pete, Alicia, and Chloe stood back trying to figure out if it was Clark or Kal-el in front of them. To the females, he definitely looked mighty good which ever persona he was.
“We’re not going to just let you take her without her consent.” Whitney spoke up bravely.
“Well. Look who grew a backbone while I was gone.” Clark quipped. “Too bad your brain didn’t increase it’s capacity.”
“Listen, who ever you are. Lana was here enjoying the party. You’re not kidnapping her without going through us.” Oliver spoke up. He walked over to peer up at Clark.
“Oliver. No.” Alicia warned as she grabbed his shoulder.
“Is this your little man, Alicia?” Clark laughed. “How very heroic of you. To ease your mind…”Clark pointed to Oliver’s name tag. “Mr. Queen, she’s my wife. So let me ask Lana what she wants.”
Clark spun Lana around. He pulled her by the waist closer to him. “Lana, do you want to stand around here while all these men gawk at you? Or do you want a real man to show you how much he’s missed you?”
“I…I..” Lana didn’t know if she was dreaming or if this was real. “Am I dreaming?”
“No.” Clark said huskily. “I sent you the dreams to remember me. But, Baby, the real thing is going to make you scream like you did years ago.” Clark leaned close to lick Lana’s ear lobe. “Only louder.”
“Oh…..are you Kal-el?” Lana whispered against Clark’s neck.
“No. I’m Clark with a little Kal-el mixed in.” Clark whispered back. “Now let me show you which half wants you more.”
“There’s so much you’ve missed.” Lana breathed out. Would Clark hate her for hiding the pregnancy from him?
“I know what I’ve missed the most.” Clark bit his lip as he glanced down at Lana’s hips. “And I don’t want to waste any more time talking about it. I’d rather not miss you any more.”
Lana blushed. “I..I..”
“Don’t stutter.” Clark leaned in. “You don’t have to be nervous. I’ll be gentle.”
“Oh.” Lana ran her hand over Clark’s brawny chest. “You’re so big.”
“Seems like your memory is still in tact.” Clark raised his eyebrows. “Now allow these gentlemen to know that you’d prefer me to spiked punch and out of date music.”
“Yes.” Lana felt her knees buckle. “I want to go home.”
“Gentlemen, it seems the lady has spoken.” Clark whisked Lana up in his arms. “Home.” Clark repeated Lana’s words. “Home is where you are.”
The crowd made a path for Clark to carry Lana away. Chloe swallowed as her hand gripped Pete’s.
“He’s back.” Alicia finally breathed out. “Clark is back.”
“He’s different.” Chloe couldn’t help to notice he exuded confidence and sex appeal.
“He’s freakin’ huge.” Pete spoke up. “He was always a big fellow. But now he’s huge.”
“I can’t believe Lana just left with him. The guy came waltzing back in here like he owned the place. Is she safe with him?” Oliver rubbed his neck. “He’s kind of cocky. He seems dangerous.”
“He’d never hurt Lana.” Alicia spoke up.
“How do you know that? He’s been gone for five years. You told me that Clark Kent was shy and reserved.” Oliver couldn’t believe his wife was taking up for the strange man.
“I also told you that Clark Kent loves Lana Lang more than life itself.” Alicia defended.
“She’s right.” Chloe shook her head. “Clark is back. Lana will be fine now. Right, Pete?”
“Yep.” Pete agreed with his wife.
“What is with all the hero worship of this guy? Aren’t any of you concerned that he came back from who knows where? He left Lana alone to raise a Thomas by herself. He just shouldn’t be allowed to step back into her life without some work. Lana deserves more than that. Jason has been a good friend. He’s been there where Clark hasn’t. What is so great about Clark Kent?” Oliver was so confused by even his wife. He was worried for Lana even if the others weren’t.
“I agree.” Whitney spoke up. “Clark can be dangerous. You all saw in high school when he about choked me to death.”
“You and Ian filmed him and Lana in the shower having sex.” Chloe pushed her finger into Whitney’s chest. “Clark should’ve finished the job.”
Oliver wasn’t privy to that information. But facts remained. They guy had disappeared to leave his pregnant wife alone.
“Oliver, I know you’re worried.” Alicia pulled his face to look at hers. “But you have to trust us who know Clark best. He’d never harm Lana. He loves her mind, body, and soul.”
“Are you sure? I’d go after her. Lana is a good friend to us.” Oliver traced Alicia’s lips. “But if you’re sure.”
“I am.” Alicia wrapped her arms around Oliver’s neck. “But I worry how Thomas is going to take a daddy coming into his life. He’s the one I’m worried about now.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Clar..Clark..” Lana tried to catch her breath. Clark was all over her. She was burning for him. But Clark was different. More of a man outside. She was also wondered how much had changed inside.
“Okay.” Clark panted out as he pulled himself off Lana. “I guess I should slow down. I just missed you so intensely. I sent you so many dreams to remind you of us together. I even allowed you to see the changes in my body so I wouldn’t frighten you.”
“Those weren’t just fantasies?” Lana raked her finger down Clark’s bare chest. So perfect.
“They were sort of.” Clark watched Lana’s finger trace his muscles. “But they were fantasies that Jor-el allowed me to send. I only agreed to go into training if I could give you a part of me to hold on to. Was I wrong to do that? Should I’ve let you move on? Like you wanted to.”
“I never wanted to.” Lana glanced at Clark perplexed. “What makes you say that?”
“I saw you with Jason on the balcony.” Clark ran his hand through his hair. “I started to leave. To just let you have a happy life without me interfering. He was holding you.”
“You should have listened to us as well.” Lana smiled. “I was explaining to Jason how much I loved you. Jason was comforting me.”
“Lana, I couldn’t see you. I didn’t know what was happening. SO much was going on in my life. The training was so intense. But I was allowed to let my fantasy somehow reach you. Holding you in our dreams is all that got me through some of the most horrid experiences in my life.” Clark turned to Lana. He’s cockiness fading as he stared at Lana. His actions had slowed down. He was having time to think.
“There’s more isn’t there?” Lana could see the anxiety in Clark’s eyes.
“I’m so much more powerful now.” Clark stated. “I wasn’t slowing down before because I wanted to touch you so bad. To take your body with mine is all I thought about. But what if I hurt you? I’ve really changed physically.”
“I see that. But you’re so much better.” Lana giggled. “Look at me.” Lana stood up.
Lana slipped her dress off her slowly as she stood by the bed. She then slipped out of her panties. “My body has changed too. You’re a man. I’m now a woman.”
Clark stared at her. She was perfect before. So he thought. But now her body was thinner but more curvaceous. Even Lana’s face had thinned down to show a beautiful woman. Clark reached to trace the contours of Lana’s body.
“You’re so much more beautiful.” Clark whispered. “I never thought that was possible.”
“I want you.” Lana stepped up closer to Clark. She pulled his head to her waist.
Clark licked slowly and seductively around Lana’s belly button. His arms wrapped around her waist as he pulled her between his knees. Lana moaned as the burning of desire hit in the pit of her stomach.
“Mama!” Thomas’s voice yelled from down stairs. “Mama!”
Lana jerked away from Clark. She grabbed Clark’s disgarded shirt and pulled it on. Before she had a chance to speak. Thomas ran upstairs and busted through the door.
Clark stared at the tiny four year old. The boy ran to Lana grasping her around the waist. “Mama.”
“Hey.” Lana lifted Thomas into her arms.
“He had a great….time.” Jonathan laughed until he saw Clark sitting on the bed confused.
“Lana, you should have seen him.” Martha walked into the room. Her mouth dropped open.
Thomas wiggled out of Lana’s arms. He ran to Martha. She picked him up. Clark glanced at Lana. Then he glanced to Thomas. The small boy looked just like him when he was a boy. Clark swallowed nervously. Then he stood up.
“He’s your son.” Lana whispered as she watched Clark go towards Thomas and Martha.
Clark jerked Thomas out of Martha’s arms.Clark yelled between clenched teeth. “Don’t touch him!”

What just happened at the end? Does Clark remember what Martha did to him before he left and that is why he doesn't want her to touch him? Or is there something else going on?
I like that Clark has an air of Kal in him. A more confident, take charge, don't get in my way Clark is a great read.
Thanks for the update, It was great.
