I have a golden retriever named Teaka :) One of the dumbest breeds around! But not 'cause of lack of brain cells, just 'cause they're smart enough to know if they play stupid people won't expect much outta them! LOL

I have a dog named Max. He is a mix between a chow, a lab, and a husky. He actually looks like a golden wolf. He is an incredibly smart dog, and extremely well behaved.

My dream dog however, is an Alaskan Malamute. If anyone has seen the film "The Lost Boys", Corey Haim's dog Nanook is a Malamute. The wolf is my favorite animal, and Malamutes look the most like wolves.

I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix who is wonderful! She probably has a bit of wolf too, as she looks like she does and people always asks if she does, but she acts mostly like a big lovable German Shepherd. If only I had a scanner, I could show her picture off to you.....

That's true, except her coloring is so wolf-like, and the way her tail is. To be honest, the guy who gave her to me said that she has some wolf in her (one parent was a Shepherd, the other a Husky/Wolf), but I don't know if he just said that, or if it's true. Wolf hybrids are controversial where I live, so I usually just call her a Shepherd/Husky, since I'm not certain anyway.

I had a Husky growing up, and he just didn't look as much like a wolf as the dog I have now. I mean, he was clearly pure Husky, while my dog now has a kind of wildness to her look, if that makes sense, in spite of Shepherd brown eyes. Even so, if she does have any wolf in her, it's not a lot, and that's a good thing. I love wolves, but a lot of people have trouble with trying to keep wolves or wolf hybrids as pets (I live near a sanctuary that takes in ones people couldn't keep).

I don't have any dogs yet. I used to have a female miniature Pekingese named Prissy, but we sold her when we moved. She was white and brown.
I want to get a miniature Dachsund and name him Frankfurter. He will be called "Frank" for short. I also want a miniature White Bull Terrier named He-Man-Woman-Hater and called "He-Man" for short.

Right now, though, I have a Sphinx cat named Buffy. She is pink with blue spots and many wrinkles. She is often referred to as "Psycho-Fat-Naked-Cat."

Besides my fabulous, wonderful, beautiful dog, I also have a cat named Lucy. I adopted her from the animal shelter because she was 15 and had been neglected and I felt so sorry for her. She is now 18 and doing well and is the sweetest cat I've ever known.

and a choc lab that is only a 1'6" tall. Don't ask why she looks like a full choc lab. her name is libby, short for liberty, because i found her right after 9/11

Used to have the best dog in the world. A black lab puppy called "Sheba", every night it would somehow get out of the kitchen and into my room and she would jump up on the bed and sleep on my feet to keep me warm. Me and my mum found her in some alley abandoned in a carrier bag.

I had her for a few months but we had no1 to look after her since both my parents worked full time, so we could hardly take her for walks, she used to get real hyper when we came home. One day she got past us at the fron door ran out into the street and was hit by a van that didn't even stop.

I haven't had another pet since :(

What a cute brood. Love the frog. There is a neighbor near me that has a little turtle. Don't think my landlady would mind that.

Meows at Calico, barks at Cuddles, twitches nose at Stella, gives Butterscotch a hug for lost sis and croaks at Bud (lolol at the name....get another one and name him Lite :p )

I bet shes a yapper! I have had nothing but bad experiences with dachshunds that will forever color my opinion of them. Biten by 3 different ones, none of which were provoked (was not abusing or irritating them in any way. Just talking with the owners and walking by a yard. One started barking and jumping on me, when I went push him away, he bit me. Another bit we when I tried to pet it (it was a dog at my friends house that I had been around before, not a strange one) and another just bit me and I have no clue why). Peed on by a 4th.

I have a bichon frise. He is giantic for a bichon (about 24-30 inches from nose to butt..) he probably weighs 25-25 pounds. He is 13 years old and totally blind from catarachs that we cant remove because of his heart trouble and high blood pressure.

This is my baby......"Chloe." I named her that before Smallville was even on. She's about 4.

My roomate's friend found her in the middle of the highway, in a cardboard box.....she was only about 4 weeks old.
She loves to have her picture taken, and to be petted. I bathed her when she was a kitten, so she's not afraid of getting wet (Sometimes she tries to get in the shower, or sits out in the rain).

She loves playing rough (especially with dogs). :D

Besides Chloe, the other pets in my Pet photo link are:

Cocoa is the big fluffy black cat. He used to live next door, but the neighbors moved about 6 or 7 years ago, & gave him to me. He's a really big cat (strong too!), and believe it or not, he loves being picked up by his tail (slowly of course)and just hang there. When you do it, he purrs & wants more.

Chico is my roommates chihuaua. He's about 13 or 14, & has arthritis really bad. Some days he can't even walk. Also, he is almost deaf.

And yes, I'm crazy, I also took pics of my fish....:lol:
He is a Black, red, & blue Beta. His name is Nemo, and he comes to the top of the water & lets me pet him with my finger (as long as i have food in my hand).

I'm babysitting my friend's cat for the week. She's beautiful, but an extremely vicious little thing. Almost took my toe off this morning when I was trying to give her her breakfast. I'm not sure what my friend's family does to her :\ But she's so pretty. I'll try to get a pic soon.

Yep Hayden is litter box trained and thankfully he's very good, he has his own little house in my living room and runs around the house everynight. :)

My roomate just found a beagle puppy today. Someone had set her out of a car, out in the road, out in the middle of nowhere.
She is so sweet, and was so-o-o-o hungry.
I really don't wanna' get to attached to her though (even though I named her Trixie :lol: ), because we can't keep her.

We are looking for someone who lives on a farm that might take her. :)

Just reading through my old posts here. We ended up keeping Trixie about a year, but she ran away & we never saw her again.
Now we have a Jack Russell/ Feist mix named "Eddie."
Sadly, my roomate's Chihuaua "Chico" died in 2006, but Cocoa & Chloe are still around.
