Very much superman. Unfortunately, however I feel the urge to run a betting pool on how long it will take him to return to the loft and begin moping while playing with his ball.

It seems to be a theme in this show that Clark acts like Superman one episode and then goes back to moping in the loft and playing with his balls the next. Maybe this will stop and he'll get over Lana (like that'll ever happen...), but from past experiences with this show, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yes, he was not letting his feelings control him. He also stood up for his beliefs when Martin Manhunter (Did I get that right?) was telling him how his compassion for human kind was his vulnerability and he stood up for this belief. I sure hope this is the Clark we get for season 7. I loved when Lois told him that she didn’t want to hear his whining, not her exact words but I can’t remember.

I think the MM wasn't telling Clark that his humanity was a bad thing, but it was a part of him that could be a problem for him if he doesn't guard it closely. There are some dastardly people who would use his love for humans against him. His humanity will be a powerful motivating force for Superman and I think MM knows this. MM was just warning Clark not to let it get in his way of doing what he has to do.

I agree, I hope this is the Clark for Season 7. It would be very refreshing. I don't mind it if he doesn't have all the answers, but I'm sick of him letting everyone walk all over him. And I want him to start making smarter choices, not just choices based on his feelings.

Clark is all hot air..wait till Lana comes back...The only reason he is standing up now is because she is not there..When she comes back..he is gonna be..asking himself..Who am I?
Tail between his legs...so to speak..The glimmer of the Future Superman we saw in the opening show..will be gone in the next 2-3 epis..

its the realization that one needs to grow up and put away the childish wants and needs. its always a shame that one has to lose someone or something dear to them to make them realize that they must grow up and move on with life. [i know from experience :( ]

When lana retrusn i dont think we'll see the same old whining clark i think he's going to stick with the way he is but be happy that shes by his side for the time being. does that mean he's going to wish he wasnt different? no, he realizes that that would be the immature thing to do and wishing to be normal isnt part of who he is supposed to be. clark realizes this now.

I use to always get angry at smallville when it came to clark fighting his destiny but fighting who you are is somethnig all teenagers and young adults do when it comes to growing up. when we lose something dear to us it pushes us into a point where we must accept what and who we are. this isnt the case with most people but for others it is and it turns out that i was on the same boat as clark (without the savior thing). its a nice touch. i loved this episode

He's acting the way he should act. I hope it remains that way.
