I think 503 was the Lana clone also. When Lex's lawyer said that model was gone, I'm thinking it was the body in the blown up car from Phantom.

If you go back and watch Phantom, when Lana went to see Clark in the loft, her hair was wavy and she was wearing a white jacket.

When Lana went to see Lex in the mansion and Lionel in the alley, her hair was straight and her clothes were black.

The clone is already dead. If you watch, you can see a head bob down in the fire. The cops would need a body to prove she was dead. Even a badly burned one.

Wow, very nice catch. I just finished watching "Phantom" and I noticed that Lana's hair and clothes were different between scenes, as well. Surely she didn't straighten her hair AND change clothes between the time she met Clark and the time she went kaboom?

When I think of the Lionel scene, I think of Robert Deniro as Frankenstien. The over coat and gloves. Maybe this creature is a mosaic of all those meteor freaks a prototype 2.O so to speak
