That is one silly (yet memorable!) scene in the show..... All Asians are dark-haired!(Trust me I would know I'm Asian...) I really wouldn't know how that would be considered "in-hiding"..... She was like a neon sign going "Hey look over here!!"..... And that dress (although it was quite appealing) was really highlighting her.... Very 'Alias' like.....

Just wanted to clear something up, for the person who said that Lana looked like an Asian hooker. You are wrong about that dress being worn by hookers. That blonde wig is wrong, yes, but the dress was not meant to be worn by hookers.
Not unless you have been with one in Asia for you to say something so rude.

That dress is not called Haiku, its a Chinese dress that has been modified over the years,it is called " Cheng Sum " (phonetically in the Cantonese dialet) that was worn back in the 1950's and 60's in HONG KONG and maybe even now on special occasions probably . . It also symbolized the wealth of that woman, the women who were poor could not afford that dress.

In a Chinese Banquet, not sure if it happens nowadays, the bride would change into that Cheng Sum from her wedding dress, three different times with three different colors each representing a meaning towards her future with her new husband. With red being one of the colors for that dress which symbolizes happiness and success for their future together.. Along with the dress she wears great amounts of 24 karat gold given to her by their older relatives wishing them well on their journey into marriage. The couple pours tea towards their parents and older relatives, aunts, uncle and even older siblings PAYING respect to them before their journey together as MAN AND WIFE. Its called a tea ceremony.
