This is quite possibly the best episode of smallville that i have ever seen.
It stuck to Canon, it put on its own twists, it had emotion.
The only compliant i have was Lex's whole redemption thing, but even though I like everything about it.
The Fight scenes were short yes, but they were satisfying, the fact that Clark was all gungho about saving the world, but not even super crazy, but Gosh it felt like i was watching a superman show.
And the ending with Super Girl...again its too great.

it was a great EP all around . . . the fight scenes were short, but they had a lot of special effects, powers, and incredible displays of strength . . . Clark is so much more powerful than he was in season 1 . . . and he's only gonna get stronger

Best season premiere easily. Best episode, maybe, I'll give the series time to finish before I make that call. And it's difficult for it to live up to Justice, but I think it at the very least tied it.

The reason I said that was mostly because I know that they spent a ridiculous amount of money, and i don't know if they'll be able to put as much pizzazaz into the later episodes, especially since they don't really tend to stick to a firm storyline, they just sort of mingle lol.

Them finally using the sun after so long brilliant on their part. And Tom welling as Bizarro, he does twisted evil so well.

And don't forget the lines; there's
some quotable stuff.
Chloe: He can fly? You really need to
get on to that, Clark!
One bittersweet, jarring note though,
was in the credits not seeing AOT's
face. Admittedly, she wasn't in much
of last season but it's hard to let go
of Ma Kent.
Overall, it was a good, solid episode
and boy did everybody come back
from the hiatus looking good!

Tom looks bigger.
I'm not so happy about the whole Lex redemption thing I was hoping to see him go down the path of evil, he hasn't really been that "evil", but meh whatever.
The Fight between Bizarro and Clark was great, I was kinda hoping to have Supergirl appear and save Clark's but. THat way Bizarro could stick around longer but oh well.
WE got some Martian Manhunter action even if it was like for a few flashes.

Had to cheer when Clark finally admitted he was going to stop apologizing for his humanity.

This was the first episode that I said to myself, "Wow, Smallville Clark is going to become the Superman we all know and love."
Some specific moments:
-Evaporating the water to save that kid and his father, turning around and nodding.
-The first scene between him and J'onn saying he was proud of his humanity.
-The way he took on Bizarro.
I absolutely loved this episode.

Everyone said the same thing when Clark built the FOS. "The best episode ever."
Heh. Smallville should be about character development, not CG, super-fights and Lazarus characters and born again baddies.
Memoria was about true character development. It didn't require too many special effects.

I loved the show. I esspecially loved the part when Bizarro tells Clark that he has all his memories and all his desires all the twisted things Clark has thought about. Than he goes ahead and grabs Lois' ass.

I didn't say that, personally it wasn't that impressive. What I saw today was Clark becoming Superman. He held his emotions, and he dealt with them, he didn't mope, he didn't cry, he faced the future and dealt with the present.

Have to actually agree. I saw more of Superman in him in this one episode than I have in a long time. It was nice to see them bring back our Man of Steel.

It was amazing! Best premier ever! I've never been so impressed by an episode of Smallville whether it was a premier, finale, or regular......except maybe Justice

He held his emotions, and he dealt with them, he didn't mope, he didn't cry
Moping = bad
Crying = good
Holding your emotions isn't an admirable quality unless you do it for a reason. In this case he did it for Chloe, who was already in tears when he about broke down himself. A Superman I can respect, however, is a Superman who knows when to cry.

Tom Wellings was never one too cry, he does poorly at those scenes. And by holding in, i don't mean as he pushed them aside, but he felt the blows, and instead of moping around or still crying, he was able to focus on the greater good.

SV has certainly stepped up it's game. The tone, the effects, everything felt very different. How exciting! Clark is actually showing Superman potential.
Loved it!
