I wasn't paying nearly enough attention then. Did Bizarro fly off after being knocked up towards the sun? Definitely gonna have to rewatch this episode.

No the Martian Manhunter took him off the planet.......

Something tells me that Bizarro might not be dead. After all, we never saw him actually die which is a first for Smallville. I'd like to see him back, personally.

Sounded like he was taken to Mars........not dead......

Bizarro definitely isn't dead. Now the question remains how's he gonna come back. If MM took him off the planet, where did he take them? It would make the most sense to fly him into the sun, but I doubt MM can do that and survive. Did he trap him on Mars? Out in space? If he put him out in space and he gets far enough away from the sun he'll probably just be strong enough again to come back. Orr...he might also run into some meteors floating along out there. That seems likely.

Yeah, no way he took him to the sun. Remember, MM hates fire and the sun = one big ball of it. :P

Reminded me of a comic book I read once where Clark fantasized uppercut punching some stupid jock who was making fun of him.

He punched him straight out of his socks and shoes and sent him flying into the stratosphere.

"HOLY COW!!!"

My thoughts exactly.

:rotfl:

But I spazzed out most when he evaporated the dam water with heat vision. That was nuts.

It's about tiime TPTB got the magnitude of Clarks power correct. I am concerned that the new perception is that Clark needs to be in direct sunlight at all times to keep from being injured. While I realize this is Smallville's "version", the reigns need to be pulled back a bit on this one....IMHO.

i actually applaud smallville and TW for those scenes as TW was essentially playing 2 parts remember the hero and villian

TW had to make it believable that although the 2 aliens shared the same DNA and memories both were completely different characters and not just by names sake

i.e

although to a certain extent both characters can be hurt or drained and still live although not in the pressence of there life energy source

but once they have contact with there energy sources they recover

TW had to show that bizarro can only fully heal and boost his strength if exposed to green-k

he had to show that clark could only heal and boost his strength in direct sunlight

so sunlight being a concern shouldnt as its a well known fact that sunlight heals and strengthens clark

that works all fine and dandy except for the part about how, practically anywhere you see light from outside, you have access to the sun's rays already.

so imo it wasn't necessary to just be right under some small spotlight of the sun coming through the walls. clark should be able to do this pretty much all the time.

though i suppose, i have to give some credit to how Superman flies up above the clouds in SReturns. that kind of action looks pretty cool, instead of saying, 'hmm ill just hang out here above the ocean a bit to regain some juice'

I thought about SReturns when I posted....but there he was stabbed with a Kryptonite sliver, drained of his energy and left for dead. He had to get a quick recharge by going to the suns rays.

I understand what TPTB were doing....but it kinda reminded me of the old Japanese show Ultraman from the mid to late 70's. The silver hero could fight giant monsters for about 10 minutes and then had to fly to the sun to get a recharge or his little red light on his chest would quit blinking and he would die....that is not Superman.

I'm sure MM took Bizarro to Mars. It is where MM is from and isn't Mars the first planet from the sun? lol. MM took Bizarro as close to the sun as he could.

Mars is technically further away from the sun then Earth. (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars). But I do agree that MM took him to Mars.

The only reason why I say the whole punch at the end was 50/50 was because when Bizarro punched Clark and he jerked his head back, when Clark smiled it jut looked funny to me because he was coming back from a slow mo punch, lol.

The uppercut was sweet, I will admit. If you notice, when Bizarro was flying into the sky and his face was breaking apart, the MMH was trailing behind him a while before he grabbed him. Small details like that are cool and I appreciate the effort.

But hearing Bizarro fly through the ceiling and the floors above before he went into the sky kinda took away from the punch. I know it would probably have been expensive to have that on screen, but the pause in the middle took away from the strength of the moment for me.

Sweet punch tho.
