When did Ando get back to New York?

Last time we saw him in the show, he was left in Japan. Last time we saw him in the comics, he was in Japan trying to defend Hiro's sister from some street thugs. I'm perfectly fine with them not explaining and us just assuming he came back during those four months, I'm just trying to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I also have to wonder how and why Mr. Nakamura picked him up to be his errand boy. I guess since they were both back in Japan, he saw him trying to save his daughter's life, and he knew Hiro trusted him, that it was the logical choice. But so much happened in those Four Months, I really hope we get a glimpse of it sometime this season.

I think you kinda answered your own question. It was never stated WHEN exactly he came back to NYC but with the comic and the fact that Kaito knows that Ando was close to Hiro probably explains WHY Ando became his errand boy.

Also, Mr. Nakamura is waiting for Hiro to return, and Ando probabley got in touch, and came with to see if he(Hiro) really would.
