Nathan's face/What does Nathan really look like

is it really like that omg that was scary i think it is like that so thats why he drinks so he can see him self differently... and it would make sense because i dont think he had enough time to fly away without getting burned

I wonder if Nathan really looks like that to everyone else or if he is just imagining it. Maybe somehow his true new appearance is being masked.

no i think its real because it would make sense wouldnt it how could he get that far from peter during the explosion if it happend so fast i think he would at least got burned and how does no one seem to notice that he is senator or what ever

He could get away pretty fast. Just take pete up as far as he could , let pete go into a free fall and Nathan can get out of dodge quick. Probably Nathan is feeling guilty and is projecting that image onto himself. Also he was pretty drunk, pink elephants drunk.

I think the rest of the world might see him as burnt but he still sees himself as OK. As for the Senator thing. If he disappeared after the explosion then he was never sworn in, so then he was never a Senator.

I don't think Ando recognized him because Nathan looked like hello and just wasn't acting like himself. Plus Ando was in a bit of a rush.

No, I thought it was Nathan when he bumped into him and then I rewound (TiVo rocks again!) and saw that it was him. And it WAS a burnt Nathan's reflection that Nathan saw in the bar. I was thinking, is he able to project what he wants people to see and he's really burnt? Or is it really that guilt psychobabble everyone's promoting?

There has got to be more to it than just simple guilt. I mean - they kept it on the screen for quite a while. A guilt thing would have been fast and quick I think....

Since Ando didn't react much when he bumped into him, nor were the other people on the street staring at him, I am thinking it is in his head and not actually scarred.
I mean really, we all do a double take when we see someone disfigured or really really unpleasant looking, and I have been to Manhattan, someone on the street WOULD make a comment there.

I am sure that it was Nathan's reflection that he saw. I don't know how much "pink elephant" drunkeness had to do with it since he didn't seem that drunk to me. I don't doubt that he was drunk, he just wasn't hella sloppy this side of alchohal poisioning drunk.

Maybe Nathan's relfection had something do with Candice? Maybe she's either covering up what Nathan looks like but everyone once and awhile Nathan will get a glimpse of what he really looks like in the reflection or something. Or maybe Candice is messing with him and showing him a burnt version of himself in order to drive him bonkers and keep him on the edge, just to ensure that he stays depressed and won't be any use to Angela Petrelli when the assasin comes to finish her off.

Maybe the burnt look is how Nathan really looks but in his mind he still sees himself as normal, which can explain why Ando did not recognize him.

Ando would have really stared, he and Hiro are both pretty tactless, lol. So Ando probably didn't recognize Nathan because he's used to seeing Nathan well kept in nice suits, clean, and of course, it's really hard to see Nathan's face through that bush! If Ando was expecting to see Nathan, then it's totally reasonable that he wouldn't recognize the new bummy Nathan.

I think he originally looked like that after the explosion, but his face healed over time. Also, he saw that image in a mirror, like nikki. Maybe he has split personality disorder too, and maybe it's a rare side effect of the shanti virus.

id say that after the explosion nathan was all burnt up and someone who had the power healed. maybe his mom. maybe someone else. and nathan cant get that picture out of his head, think about it, ifyou were badly burt and then healed up what would you think. id remember what it looked like for sure.

I was watching it over and over... the hair Nathan is rocking in the mirror is peter's emo style...

I think its just the director or whoever showing the juxtaposition bewteen him and what he thinks happened to peter...probably a guilt thing.

yeha man. Im a huge comics fan. And it so happens I kinda fell into heroes. I read the blurb in my tv guide and i was like....ennnnh...could be ALRIGHT...i accidently watched the first show and now im hooked.
